Black Cat Ji Dong-won starred in the South Korean side who entertained Poland at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Friday. Dong-won started for the Taeguk Warriors against Franciszek Smuda's White Eagles in a friendly game ahead of Korea's World Cup qualifier next week. ....... Vaughan came on as sub, Westwood didn't play ....... O'Shea played, Larsson played and scored, Bendtner played and didn't score. Mig played,
That lad Bent looks a canny player. We should put a bid in. I've heard he likes a January change of scenery? Lol The bastard. Lol
Well you never know.... Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has been told to cut his squad’s average wage by £10,000-a-week per man. Villa are unbeaten in the Premier League under McLeish, but despite the exits of Ashley Young, Stewart Downing, Brad Friedel, Luke Young, Nigel Reo-Coker and Jean Makoun, he he remains under orders to cut the wage bill further still. At present, the club’s average wage for their first-team stars is still around £57,000-a-week. Owner Randy Lerner wants to get the average down to a more manageable £46,000-a-week, as strict new financial fair play rules loom. That means further departures are inevitable in January, for the likes of big-earning fringe players Carlos Cuellar and Habib Beye. That will offset the club’s top deals with Gabriel Agbonlahor, Stiliyan Petrov, Richard Dunne and Stephen Ireland, who all earn above the average. Any new additions will have to accept lower salaries, similar to the £30k-a-week full-back Alan Hutton is on following his summer move from Tottenham
Larsson's dead balls, Vaughan's passing ability, Sessegnon's speed and trickery, Bendtner's all round play - and Darren Bent just quietly waiting to pounce ... I dream, I dream.
Ghana is through to the finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations thanks to first half goals from Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah. The Black Stars maintained their unbeaten record throughout the qualifying campaign to finish on 16 points ahead of Sudan in Group I. A very packed Omdurman Stadium in Khartoum was forced to go mum when Al Ain's most talked about Ghanaian signing Gyan capitalized on a scuffle in the Nile Crocodiles’ box to slot in the Black Stars first goal. Lyon defender and Ghana captain Mensah added to his account at the national side when he doubled the four-time African champions’ lead after 21 minutes
