    No 14...

I've tried to get this into the Top 10 because it's such a classic but whilst a classic and visually striking, it's not the most interesting design. This is the second one of these that I've owned. The first one rotted away to the point where it was more hole than shirt...

    No 20 update...

I was trawling through ebay the other day and...there it was...

...in green, from back in '81.

I thought the red was rare! I've no recollection of there ever being a green one. No wonder the bloke wants £80 for it. Just as well it won't fit me or I'd be in trouble with Mrs B for some considerable time.

Glastonbury cancelled for 2021...and rumours that all the other festivals will fall in the days ahead.

    **** this ****, I'm hibernating.

    Lucky No 13.

Given how much I love the track (it's the best thing the band have recorded since '77), it's a surprise to me that this didn't make the Top 10. However, the design is a seriously missed opportunity, given the material they had to work with. FFS, the song is about Vampira's unrequited love for James Dean and the film stars Vampira and Bela Lugosi and neither of them are on it...?

And worse, he ruined a Beatles album.

Let it Be v Let it Be Naked - the latter every time.

This is a song from Pulp's debut album, which came out in 1983:

Yes, that Pulp with Jarvis Cocker. 1983. <yikes>
They released an album before Bon Jovi or Anthrax. It came out before Like A Virgin by Madonna or Prince's Purple Rain.
The mid-90s Britpop band had their first album out at the same time as Slayer. WTF?
My musical timeline is completely, utterly off.

    Bonus 1983 Slayer:

Today from the Rebellion Festival organisers...

"Very interesting piece on the BBC today on the likelihood of summer festivals in the wake of Glastonbury cancelling. Glastonbury is a totally different beast to smaller independent festivals. They start their build now so had to make that call. There's still a long way to go until Rebellion and with it being summer and 9 months into a vaccine programme, we're hopeful that we can bring you the event that you're all craving. The GOOD NEWS is that we've secured an amazing outdoor space that has way more capacity than we need, so should there be restrictions still in place for indoor events we can move part of the event here. If all is well then we have an amazing additional stage!

Obviously we need to be realistic and will adapt our plans accordingly. There is never a perfect time to make decisions and everyone has an opinion and has become a virus expert in the last year! We will always make our decisions based on the safety of our attendees, staff, bands and crew and also if any restrictions or our position at that time meant that we weren't able to deliver a great festival.
Timing is crucial and we really need some guarantees from the government ASAP regarding a roadmap to live events re-opening but have a read of the article on the BBC and you'll see that the amazing Association of Independent Festivals are working tirelessly to get some assurances that will help us all make those important decisions.

Only update we can give you today is that we're thankful to Blackpool Council and the Winter Gardens for working with us. We can assure you that the town are on our side and we're all working together to do whatever we can to make this work. The addition of an outdoor stage, giving us space and fresh air makes us hopeful but we remain vigilant and will update you all as things progress.

Mrs B and I have run our tickets from 2020 over for this year and fingers crossed, we might get to see some bands.

    No 12.

A Vince Ray/Damned shirt should be in the Top 5, given my love of both. However, it's not an original design for the band...and when you're deep into this ****, it matters a lot more than it should...

    I saw Phil Jupitus as one of the support acts for The Style Council in 1985, he was Porky The Poet then;

Also turns up here in another great favourite of mine.
