Grats on another pole, but please don't talk over the radio anymore. It seems very scripted, self conscious and quite insincere. I'd actually prefer a nice 'well done chaps'...They make me cringe when they talk over the radio.

You don't need to go through the motions on the radio... The times say everything.

Sorry for the rant btw... I have no prob with Vettel. The exchanges just remind me of the acting in a scifi channel special movie. :p

Then Vettel should do the gentlemanly thing and ask if the team would like him to pick something up from the drive through on his way back to the garage. :p

I think the celebration was perhaps more justified this time. I think it was a real surprise for Vettel to find himself ahead of McLaren, especially with Hamilton appearing to out-manoeuvre himself.

The race will be very interesting though. I believe it will be a very real fight and that we will not see Red Bull walk off into the sunset this time - although I am certain Vettel will become World Champ again tomorrow.

Naaah... I think that they knew they could pull it out and the exchange afterwords was the same old guff. I just wish they could be more natural. They lack emotion on things like that, and I actually don't think that they need to try show emotion. Let the emotion pour out when it's a crazy win, when you take a title... when you had the fight of your life... yet another pole doesn't need you to go through the motions of what you think you have to do. Just be natural...

He's just ran out of English words to say over the radio, he might bring a book next time of witty phrases.

Rocky sounds really annoying when he says "HOW ABOUT THAT?"

So what's Horner's Excuse? Or is he strangely Austrian, yet built in Britain? :p

I'd have to agree that little Jack Horner comes across as one of the least genuine people but I think Vettel's celebration was from very real surprise this time…

Yeah, that has to be the stupidest saying ever. More often than not, they weren't talking about anything. :emoticon-0149-no:

F1 would be a much happier place without Vettel's "That's what I'm talking about!" and Hamilton's MASSIVE sun glasses!

Let's remember that he's not speaking in his native tongue. Vettel's use of English is exceptional but let's remember he's German. His phraseology will be coloured by his own interpretation of the way language translates; and he may have picked up certain affectations without realising how his use of them during a celebration might irritate some.

But I really feel this is a very poor and churlish criticism to aim at him in any case.

Well... The same can be said for many other drivers too, but passion and emotion isn't limited by a persons use of a particular language... There is something that has a feeling of them just going through the motions. This may be just a side effect of the way the sport has been heading over the last 15-20 years though.

I'm not trying to have a dig at Vettel, but I think they need not worry too much about their post poll/race rhetoric and just be natural is all. :)
