Ell, seeing as that was ****ing aimed at me, answer me this question, why has the common cold and seasonal flu disappeared this year? We're in the middle of the flu season by the way.

I would have thought it was going to be pretty obvious that flu wasn't going to be as prevalent this winter, with the fact it is an airborne disease and as the majority are isolating it will cut the chances of it being spread dramatically.

They're adding flu to the statistics, thats why its not prevalent
Apparently a common cold is a corona virus.
What is the biggest killer of people right now?

And you have evidence that they're adding flu to it.
    Covid is the biggest killer.

Covid isn't even in the top ten, dementia kills more people, so, some on here should be **** scared of that too,
if, as you say flu isn't prevalent this winter because people are isolating so infections are cut dramatically, why is covid cases on the rise, those same people are isolating aren't they?
It was on a government website, since been changed now people have noticed it, goalposts moved and all that
    BTW where is your evidence?

Because the new variant is more contagious than the first wave and flu, people getting together over Christmas as increased the cases in this.
People do fear dementia, my own mom died from it, so I know the impact, thankfully though its not contagious and will continue to grow as the life expectancy of people grows. Just because dementia, cancer amongst others kill people, doesn't mean a highly contagious disease like covid doesn't.

As an average, dementia kills 5,800 per month.
Covid is killing more than that each week, so presently Covid-19 is the UK's single biggest killer

I asked you where you got your evidence from
seeing as you have all the stats, educate me, how many people in the UK have died from Covid with no underlying health issues whatsoever, go by age groups, say people over 80, then 60, then 40 and any below that

Not sure what evidence you wanted.
And I did ask you first for your evidence, which hasn't been forthcoming.
No I don't have all the stats, never said I did , but neither do you to the contrary. So are you saying it's ok for people to be dying as long as they have underlying health issues.?
I have no faith in politicians and neither their agendas or statistics, even less in yours but having 6 close friends and relatives working front line on this I know the impact this is having on the NHS and it's staff, which is the main reason we have this lockdown, they can hardly cope now let alone if the numbers continue to grow. People lying in ambulances for hours on end, waiting for someone to die so they can have the bed is a lovely image.
Pointless continuing this as neither of us will change our opinions.
