Don't worry, next time he's coming down he'll PM me.

So what are you saying you would do to the parties involved in this whole exchange?

I think we've both seen how what is seemingly a jokey comment, can then lead to other issues on several threads. Then when we act, it can look as if we're being heavy handed or uneven in application.

We're bound to get things wrong, and what is acceptable to some, is not acceptable to others, so we have to try and find that line in the middle, which we don't always achieve, but then I don't think it's altogether achievable anyway, we can only do our best and try to make sure there's a way people can raise issues.
Although I think at times you've pressed the panic button deleting too many posts, I think on balance you do a good job. I for one wouldn't be prepared to put in the time moderating posts from people like me.

It seems like some people would rather carry on the conversations that upset them in the first place rather than discuss moderation, but as a way of getting it back on topic, I'd be interested to read other peoples views on the most appropriate way of moderating the sort of conversations that are now going on on this thread?

A warning, then a ban from posting in the thread.... Leting the ones who can discuss without it getting personal or drifting way way way off thread crack on

Idk, maybe examine why a simple question of what significance Remembrance Day has with football that BLM doesn't was met with a dick-measuring contest over dead relatives and an invite to meet in person lmao.

I'd probably put them off the thread?

Ordinarily, that is what I would have done, but for one, I thought this of all threads should get a bit of lee-way on that score, but I did expect more targeted my way.

For another, i thought it would work as an example of the sort of issues that decisions need to be made on, which would give an opportunity to ask people how they felt it was best dealt with.

It seems we've been doing it in a way that fits with you in any event.

Are you suggesting that posts advocating protecting lives in Africa should be deleted?

Blah blah blah same argument, same ****. Protect the racists. It’s what you do.

No consistency, why repeatedly castigate one but not the other? I mean he is the one who repeatedly whines on, unchecked, about Black female Diane Abbott having a mental freeze whilst suffering an episode brought on by her diabetes but never jokes about white male politicians who have made many more, & far worse, mistakes with figures.

I mean explain what is it about a black female politician making mistakes with figures that make it funnier than white male politicians.

I expect nothing less from you. We see, we know.

You think we have the time (or inclination) to read through everything to see who said what and why?

Normally I would have deleted the posts in question, and had a quiet word via PM with the offending poster(s).

Quite often, the bottom line is that people want to be able to advocate their views, and silence those that disagree, rather than hold a reasoned conversation.

You do realise that you haven't actually flagged up anything there that is racist don't you?

That's on him, not me. I asked a simple question and was met with hysterics.

when you're on your zoom call on monday - ask your teacher why people think you're a dick because you compared the brave soldiers who lost their lives at Ypres, Passchendaele, the Somme and Gallipoli with a left wing anarchist group who want to defund the police - i bet they think you're a dick as well - grow up silly ****

Whatever the why's and wherefores, you must admit that the responses on this thread from several don't look good. The thread is about how the board is moderated. The no politics rule has been pointed out, and was in fact one of your early points, yet you have posted politic related comments, as well as breaking other rules on the nature of replies. How would you moderate someone that has done that?

Are you gonna apply the same standard to Charon, who has joined in with the hysterical pant-pissing as well?

I’ve mentioned & reported plenty. I’ve come to accept your racist platitudes a while back when you left posts like this unchecked ...
