I barely ever use the stand tackle button any more, I just run into the ball or slide. It's worked better for me, at least.
Why are goal keepers so ******ed on fifa 12? I see shots with little pace on them role straight past keepers and they react about 3 seconds to late.
So how's the FM12 demo going? I've downloaded it but I'm still playing FM11. Still with Everton(currently in the 2014-2015 season). Current team(strongest) : Romero Walker Shawcross Jones Digne Sissoko Rodwell Krasic Fleck Vadlec Babacar 3rd in the table(Jan 2015 now). Use Fleck as the advanced playmaker with Krasic and Vadlec as the inside forwards and Babacar as the complete forward. Works quite well.

Good team. Charlie Adam you got there? How old is he? I'm also a big fan of both Walker and Naughton! Tottenham really do produce quality full-backs!
I think he's 29 on my game, possibly 30. I mainly play him as a ball winning midfielder, with Skjebred as the attacking playmaker, but they can swap. Adam's long range striker are immense and he's a free kick specialist
They're both inconsistent but Ba has about 15 so far this season, Sturridge about 7, and those have all been recent - he was **** early on. Balotelli, Skjebred, Chung-Lee, Kramaric & Johnson have all scored more than Sturridge, I believe. I start him atm because he's in good form.

I only said some of them are bad such as Marveaux, Saylor and Sameobi, especially Marveaux who I hope they change for the full game because only having 2.5 stars for potential is pretty ridiculous. From the demo there seems to be enough difference from FM11 to make it worthwhile getting.
Downloading the FM12 demo at the moment. Fifa career modes not going too well. Signed Cisse as a striker, injured for 3 weeks in the first game against Arsenal. (lost 4-1, 3 goals in the first 20 minutes, couldnt handle them. Not a fan of this new defending lark.)

THIS IS BULLshit!!! THE REF IS GIVING PENS FOR **** ALL ON CAREER MODE!! I'm not even pressing any buttons, all i was doing was containing them in the box and it was giving away penalties? I'm sure my game is glitched. Sunderland got 4 pens, Fulham just got 2... wtf is going on? I've only ever given away one pen on my whole online play! P.S.
