Sad isn’t it, given even with only a small number of posters the chatter on here could be really good.

instead we’ve got people reading and not posting, we’ve lost all community feel bad a very few of us who have tried recently (and I am well known to annoy people)

it’d be a shame if you went across, but I am more likely to be found on Twitter than anywhere else.

The only way of hiding a thread is putting the thread poster on ignore. You'd have to put OddDog on ignore, but he's a mod so I don't think you can. No other way round it unfortunately.

Given that, can Oddy transfer the first post to QM and I can kill two birds with one stone? <laugh>

There is no doubt the fatjockey forum is a good forum. I have been a member for almost 7 years. As you know I started the not606 v fatjockey Cheltenham comp and it went well. For daily use it really depends if you prefer a forum with lots of members or a relatively small community. Nothing wrong with being a member of both

Just looking at today, there are 20 threads on the first page and 3 of those are off topic, one being amusement, one a place to have a moan and 1 other I can't remember

I don't know a lot about the guy, but you have to admire courage like that. I suspect he knows Russia is ripe for change, and is gambling that his enemies' grip on power may not be that tight.

Plus, they haven't killed him yet. If the people that want him dead were as all powerful as it sometimes appears, he'd be dead already.

Agree, Champion Hurdle or not, my interest in horseracing does not stretch to reading 155 pages of discussion on one race. Good grief no! :(

Think it might be the time to pull up stakes. Notice a lot of good guys on here don't seem to be posting anymore. Do hope they are all fit and well in these desperate times of a global pandemic. Had a damn good run though, right from the old BBC days of Richard and his cups of tea, and that beautiful dark-haired BBC girl! Anyway, time to take a breather at least, to get angry and upset with one particular poster of the extreme right of political thought, is not what an otherwise friendly forum is about, surely? The ignore button works, but is not always 100% effective?

    Servus for now!

But it is the debate and discussion I like Nass - I'm not just after winners as I rarely bet. It is much more the challenge of trying to interpret a race, pick it to pieces, weigh up the options. A bit like your Sunny Southwell Sands thread - you go into the whys and the wherefores rather than just posting the name of a horse. I've never got the point of folks just coming on and posting "3.35 Ascot - Waiting Patiently" with no reasoning, no assessment just: here you go, that's my bet. Is it the self-obsessed nature amongst social media users, that they can come back if it wins and post a "boom"?

As for the length of threads and the number of posts, take a look at the Juvenile Hurdlers 2020/2021 thread on Fat Jockey here - an absolute masterpiece ;)

Are you going to boom that tomorrow at 3:43?

I agree, my point was flippant in that you could look at the Champion Hurdle for every hour from now until the festival and still have no idea what is going to win.

The Remainer Maybot got a bad Withdrawal Agreement that Boris turned into bad law; and now she is complaining because he sought to override parts of it that impact the United Kingdom now that it is no longer aboard the sinking EU ship.

In the 2019 UK Parliament, there were more constituency MPs representing areas that had voted Leave than had voted Remain. The Remain MPs did not carry out the mandate of their constituents but voted for their own Remain wishes.

In the December 2019 election, some did not contest their seats; some lost their seats whilst others lost their seats because their party was led by a lifetime loser. The resulting large Conservative majority had a clear task: “Get Brexit Done”.

I see what you mean Oddy. Kotkijet is a real mine of info. Can't say I understood it mind you so, unfortunately, didn't read it all. Certainly spends a considerable amount of time on research. Will be interested to see if it leads to a good bet

I thought that, only viewing from my laptop, but apparently it can be annoying when viewing from the smaller screen of a mobile
