The clubs being prepared for relegation as much as it is a takeover... Ashley is preparing the club to dismantle further in the lower league
Yeah, probably. Clubs dead is a line I've used plenty on here, I think we're done tbh. Shame, we coulda been something slightly interesting, oh well.
It's clear that this is a vote of Confidence in Bruce. It's Ashley's MO. He'd rather us go down than bow to fan pressure and sack that waste of space. The only reason why Ashley is investing more in Bruceball is because there is no Takeover. IF there were a takeover they would leave everything as it was bar the playing staff. It's basically off.
Ashley was on a winner at the beginning of the season to be honest, fans were actually starting to really appreciate his efforts in the takeover, we signed one or two players people liked the look of and we had a decent start to the campaign. I think if he came out and sacked Bruce now, brought in a decent replacement we would see the good times continuing. But instead, its the same boring **** as he has vanished again. We are in desperate need of a DOF who can run the place on a clearly defined budget. You don't need unreal amounts of cash, just a vision, passion and a decent bit of money to work with. It's possible for us to be a decent side, atleast enough to compete for top 10 against the likes of West Ham who are a ****ing ****show of ownership
In some respects I wish the takeover never started in the first place. All it’s done is give us false hope. We are looking into everything that happens that is so slight and basically irrelevant in the hope that it’s a snippet of hope for the takeover to happen when in fact all it’s doing is deflecting from what is actually happening. SB is here for the season and he’s got all the excuses lined up. He can’t actually lose. If we stay up he gets the praise of the century. If we get relegated he just blames the fans expectations and covid and the lack of investment. He cannot actually lose. This potential appointment of this chap from Bournemouth is just a half arsed attempt for Ashley to help out Bruce. Let’s be honest. MA doesn’t give a flying **** about the club. All he’s bothered about is protecting the value.
It's not the false hope it's the knowing what would have been as the clubs is dismantled before our eyes.
This is what puzzles me. He must see that we are heading down? if he does then the club value will drop by at least 30%. Our only hope is that the parachute payments are deemed valuable enough to tempt someone to come forward and make a pitch. If I were Ashley I'd speak to PIF and say... I'll invest £30-40m but you still have to buy the club if it doesn't work and we go down. Or even ask them for some kind of add on to the value of the club to retrospectively cover that investment. This is the sensible approach. What he's done is signal loud and clear that it's off and he's doing it the old fashioned way of just gambling that bottom feeders like this new coach may help get a handful of wins to help us stay up.
I’m not sure about that. But I still think that it’s not to get PIF back and that’s it’s for financial gain for him. I know people more clever than me have stated the facts re arbitration but what’s happening at the club does not match with a takeover is imminent. I have for a very long time accepted the probability of there being no takeover and I’m afraid we are im for a lot of short term pain for some potential long term gain. For me we need to go down. We need to clear the deadwood. Then we need Ashley to accept a lower bid from an entity who can build the club from the base upwards. That’s something I can buy into. This current regime and setup is toxic.
The takeovers ****ed, the clubs ****ed and we're ****ed. Ashley will just stay until the clubs worthless
Unfortunately I'm saying I've concluded that the takeover isn't happening and unfortunately Mike ashley and Steve bruce will be around for number of years.
I think it is happening yes and I still honestly think we may see a happy ending. What I’m saying is e may have some short term pain for long term gain. Steve Bruce is now acting erratically. He’s almost out of control and I think this new guy may be an attempt to put some form of context back into things. His press conference today was completely mad! I mean crazy levels of madness when you think about it. He’s talking pure **** and everyone knows it but him. I say give him as much rope as he can handle.
