That’s probably true. And to be quite honest there didn’t even need to be any news anyways. They should have just got him in and then released a statement to the effect of “he’s been brought in to assist with first team duties”! That would have been the end of it!

He’s been Martinez right hand man for most of his career, including his time with us. Fair to say the defensive side of the game isn’t his forte, but you’ve got Bruce for that. I can see why Bruce wants to bring him in, as he’s a good coach & they could compliment each other.
