It's the media building a picture, by asking stupid questions that they know there is no firm answer to, just so they can start to stir up more ****e as the general news is that the situation is improving.

I'll say it again, the media really do need to start writing about the news rather than trying to create the news, and putting themselves at the centre of the story. It's shameful.
