Don't really agree with this "No Good He Buys Teams" thing.

He spots good players who can do a specific job and places them in his teams. An England Manager does that.

If you are talking about Redknapp he has only been successful when he had cash to splash. End of. The one time he had no money was with my side and we got relegated. It was nit exactly his fault, that was our owners back then. However, the point is he had no money to spend. We did not improve and didn't bring anyone one on as a player.

Cheers CRBA, thats what I meant; as an England Manager he doesn't spend money, he just invites players into his team. He knows good players when he sees them.

Harry Redknapp plays 4-4-2. This is his downfall, this is why Spurs aren't challenging for the title. It is a disaster waiting to happen if he gets England job.

Spurs have the best midfield in the league, Modric, VDV, Bale, Lennon, Parker, Sandro, Huddlestone. They even have a top striker now and they have a defence that is definately in the top 4 in the league yet they'll finish 6th.

I agree with this totally, also last season he was driving the Spurs fans mental by playing Crouch constantly, he's more popular with the media than anything else

Looking beyond Redknapp, is there any Englishman we would seriously expect or want to take the job?

This is kind of what I meant, but I don't think changing from 4-4-2 is the answer. The problem they have is when they play a big striker (like they did with Crouch) and VDV up front. VDV is a good player but you shouldn't be dropping proper strikers like Defoe to make room for him. As I said earlier, he's sorted it out now by playing VDV on the right wing which works wonders for them, but it has taken him far too long.
