So I’ve just looked at WhoScored and it has a stat “key passes per game”. No idea how it’s assessed, but secondary assists or pre-assists must count. Either way it seems to be a measure of creativity. So on those stats, Todd is our joint third most creative player at 1.5 key passes a game. Buendia is miles out in front on 3.3, but that for me just reflects how good he is. Second place, interestingly, is Quintilla - which I know won’t be popular with some but shows for me how he offers something different. He’d be great right now with Hugill up top. And I think it’s working well with Vrancic too, who can head the ball I think (or at least is tall). Plus we know McClean and the CBs are dangerous too. Back to Cantwell though - by comparison, Pukki is also on 1.5 (and he certainly gets his fair share of assists and contributing offensively without scoring), and others who I think we’d agree are generally considered creative: Aarons on 1.3, Stiepermann on 1.2 and Vrancic on 1.1.
Ha! I don’t want to talk it up, but we also have a habit of conceding against the run of play... And we do make life harder for ourselves by completely dominating and yet not scoring a second... It does look to me though that you guys are really suffering from injuries like we were a month ago because it means you cannot change formation easily. That’s the problem with this intense season.
In Hockey they keep track of "secondary assists." They could do the same in football. I don't know the definition of "key pass" either.
DD stream seems to come from Bulgaria. Nova sports. Watching with Radio Norfolk as commentary about 15 seconds ahead
If we get promoted, do you think Skipp will stay if the price is right? He would probably be in the starting eleven each game.
Sorensen just gets better and better. Hard to criticise any player today. Hugil getting a brace will do him a world of good. Can see him pushing on from here and push Pukki for his place. 11 points above Bournemouth. 10 points above Watford & Reading.
