Up to 3rd, looooooooooovli. Sounds like the players are doing better under Muñoz´s style. Thanks for the comments all. HElped me through the game!
For all their huff and puff, Barnsley didn't have one attempt on target - unless they claim Sierralta's wayward header that forced Bachmann into that save.
A positive performance generally despite only one goal and we know why that is. Bachmann did his job when called upon and generally we looked solid at the back again. Hughes, Sarr, Sema and Phil Z looked good in attack whilst Deeney put in a shift.
I think we still need Deeney even if it is not for 90 mins Pedro needs more game time and Gray just needs a goal
Crikey, that’s a toughy. Yes, Masina was very good. I thought Sema and Sarr were terrific. Hughes was busy. Femenia was exceptional. Bachmann was alive and ready when he needed to be. I think I would plump for Sema again, but very close this match.
Should be an 'interesting' match on Friday - Stoke with a ropey home record and us with an even ropier away record. I think ours is about to change for the better though.
It has to be Sarr - he comes away with the ball from the most unpromising situations. Good crosses all night. Gray should have had 2 from Sarr's crosses. Bachmann looked alert. Does anyone remember the nervous debut of ?? in goal at Villa Park when Deeney scored the winner through sheer determination. I was there. Couldn't bear to watch whenever the ball came into our box! At least we are watchable as well as getting results. Under Munoz W3 l1 in champ. Just need to win away (Friday ?) and we will be on a roll.
Back to back wins is a great feeling, let´s make it 3 on the bounce and then we can really try to push on for automatic promotion.
I think I agree - if only for the blistering pace he showed while chasing down that rather overhit pass from Kiko (??) - catching that and crossing lead to the penalty.
