    Xisco Muñoz, Watford Head Coach:

“I think it will be a very difficult game against Barnsley. The last 10 games I think they have lost three or four. It's a perfect squad, they work hard. It's important we know this will be a difficult game.

“It's important the players understand we have a lot of games and it's important to have some rotation so that everyone who plays is in the best condition.”

As we move into the second half of the season we can look back at the reverse fixture, which turned out to be a horror show if you look at the match thread. The team we put out that day was:

Watford have won their last five home league matches against Barnsley, though this is their first game against the Tykes at Vicarage Road since March 2014, a 3-0 win.
Barnsley are looking to complete a league double over Watford for the first time since the 2007/08 campaign, registering a 3-0 away win that season.
Watford have won 29 points in 12 home Championship matches this season (W9 D2 L1) – four more than any other club has won home soil in 2020/21.
Barnsley haven’t lost three consecutive Championship matches since February 2020 under Gerhard Struber.
Watford midfielder Tom Cleverley is looking to score in three consecutive league appearances for the first time since May 2015 with Aston Villa in the Premier League.

    Our Officials:

    Referee: Tim Robinson
    Assistants: Adrian Waters, Richard Wild
    Fourth Official: Sunny Gill

Another team we need to gain revenge on!

They are a team in form...

Be tougher than Huddersfield and that wasn't easy.

    Does Pedro really need resting?

Young man just coming back from time out so won't be worn out.

Hughes in - hopefully he'll last.

Back on Hive tonight. Trying to watch a very poor stream Saturday was not ideal.

Hughes first start of the season. Will he and Cleverley manage to control mid-field?

I would rather see him on in this sort of game than chalobah... Much more dangerous going forward....

With Sarr, Hughes and Cleverley we may have goal scorers. Not sure about the forwards.

Deeney and Gray again how many times does that have to fail before the Head Coach is allowed to not select by how much a player cost to make team selections
Deeny and Pedro I could understand, Gray and Pedro I could tolerate for the first half but Pedro and Zincoman on the bench, No No Thrice No, they are both young and fit, ten years ago we were playing two games a week every week
Unless we win tonight and Friday we could have another Manager/Head Coach hanging on by his finger nails

Just watching a bit of Derby - Bournemouth. My first thought is the appalling condition of the pitch.
Derby are winning 1-0 with 15 minutes left.

We never really know the conditions of the players mind.

If TD9 & AG don´t click tonight then hopefully it is their last change together.

Lets not forget, we are only 6 points above Barnsley. Not a lot of difference between the teams really

3 were given to them as we rolled over at theirs.

Tonight, hopefully, will be different matter.

Late arrival to this - iFollow have strangely decided to show the Rotherham v Stoke match twice, so have had to log in to the Hive.

Don't appear to have missed too much...
