You mean that one Dave? Or what about saying fergie got desperate? You forgot about saying that aswell? Dear oh dear man.
Its funny how everyone though Newcastle would fail at the start of the season and now look where they are.
Ferguson got lucky with the youth thing back in those days because he would not be able to do what he did then now. The rules would not allow it. He can now only sign players within a catchment area that stretches to 90 minutes distance away from the stadium. He's no longer allowed to steal school-boys from South London like he was in 1990. If the current rules were in place in 1992, he would have only had Butt and Scholes and possibly Giggs out of his ''Golden Generation''. Bury born Gary and Phil Neville and South London born David Beckham would have been out of his reach. However there may have been a problem with Giggs as when his parents divorced and he went from Wilson to Giggs, he and his mum settled in Cardiff, so he may also have been out of Ferguson and Man Uniteds catchment area.
In what way does the rules being different now change what he did back then? Rules change all the time. Once there were no subs allowed, you used to get 2 points for a win, there was no pass back rule etc etc.
Only Beckham would have been put of reach, Bury is well inside the catchment area for United. Giggs lived in Salford as a lad.
Look at the statement in terms of the whole paragraph before you start spouting. As for the deperate claim then I refer you to my reply to Eric.
No. Crikey, you're so quick to call everyone in this forum a '****tard' and yet you can hardly claim to be the brightest yourself. EVEN if you want to include the summer months where Suarez didn't play PL football (as nobody did) you'd get to 7 (not 8) months (end of Jan, when he signed, to end of August, when the summer window closed.) So firstly there's that. Secondly, you're completely disregarding others arriving in January. Suarez wasn't the only player to arrive in that month.
It's typical of the guy. Isolating segments of your comments without regard to the context which they were written in and twisting them in order to have a sly dig.
Hes been at the club up to 8 months longer than some players. End of January to the end of August when the last players came in is 8 months. I am aware hes not the only one to come in in January. Never said otherwise.
January 31 - February 31 = 1 month February 31 - March 31 = 2 March 31 - April 31 = 3 April 31 - May 31 = 4 May 31 - June 31 = 5 June 31 - July 31 = 6 July 31 - August 31 = 7 P.S, I'm aware that not all months have 31 days, but I just did it for ease.
Sorry you are right. My mistake*. Still its quite a while longer than some other players. * I had lazily counted the months on my hand, jan, feb, mar, etc... and of course thats 8. I feel stupid** **Awaits confirmation of this**
Not a big fan of Suarez admittedly because he's a horrible person but he's a great player. Nowhere near Rooney's level though imo. Well maybe not 'nowhere near' but I don't see how you can compare the two, Rooney's clearly better
I don't see why people think he's a horrible person. He did what anybody who loved their country would do at the world cup, and he did what any "good" player does in the premier league at the weekend by diving. Unfortunately, it's a standard part of the game nowadays.
I wouldn't go so far as to call him a horrible person. He might be a bit of a dick on the pitch sometimes, but that doesn't reflect the person he is off it. Many people are totally different off the pitch. Jens Lehmann is relatively quiet and thoughtful in interviews, as is Nani. You'd never guess it from seeing them as players though.
So out of the two you think Rooney's a nice person. Dont ever get in his way if his daddy has been up to no good.
Was quite an aggressive post haha. I blame my dealings with KPR earlier in the week haha. I love you too maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
