bei my a bit silly. Bournemouth had become stale, but Howe had shown that he could galvanise a squad of players, bringing them up through the leagues. made a few questionable purchases, but who hasn’t. He would play a more entertaining style than Bruce does. before Moshiri and his cash I would have had him at Everton.
shows Howe much attention I pay to other clubs. Would be even better deal for Newcastle as he want require a payoff.
don’t be so silly. For all the piss taking Newcastle is a decent club. Just a strange mish-mash of players. Need someone who is going to get a few years to sort it out.
Believe me you wouldn't want Megson ... only time in my over 50 years of supporting (much of it crap) that I seriously considered walking away ... watched a 0-0 away at Southend where we literally had no ambition to go over the half way line ... he left us for a club with 'better prospects' ... Bolton Wanderers... more or less sums his judgement up ... it was ultra defensive, anti-entertainment ... ****ing dire...
It was worse than tbh. As the corner was **** and didn’t beat the first man, the ball then came back out wide & 2 of your players (I think Lewis was one) had ample opportunity to put the ball into the box where your CB’s were still waiting for a cross, both of them **** out of it, knocked the ball between themselves and then lost it, Arsenal break and that’s that. It’s that Bruce’s fault or just players taking no responsibility and using their noodle?
Bruce is statistically the worst manager in premier league history, but I'll accept there's many others that shouldn't have been employed at most clubs
All I know is in watching side that can't even take a throw in or a corner and before Bruce out side was very good at the basics
Easy target blaming Bruce he’s only 7 points off Arsenal with 60 points left to play deluded Toon fans
For managers who have managed over a certain number of games (think 50). There will be plenty who never made it even half a season who were statistically worse.
Whilst we are all quick to criticise when it's not going well for our own team, the stark reality is that somebody has to finish bottom ... ergo... they will not have been as good as the rest of the teams ... and then second bottom ... and onwards and upwards... the table is a cruel mistress (calm down Saxton - wrong thread) ...
I'd say we're similar to most fans. Plenty of Tottenham ones who wanted Moutinho out recently as your boys were no longer top of the league. They got rightly drowned out by the majority telling them to be reasonable but it doesn't stop the cringing when you have to hear them on phone ins. The media aren't interested in the sensible silent majority.
