Had a phone call from NHS this morning telling me to go to my local Doctors Surgery for my first jab at 18-58
Was back home at 19-25, they had 400 in two hours just like a factory production line
Just waiting for the after effects, so far no hunger for human flesh so all good

 

Bloke on the radio said his appointment today was 9.50 and was back home for 10,20
Seems most are getting the job right.

 

It was very well organised, one of the guys doing the jabs was my old doctor who retired 5 years ago
Mine was a very nice nurse

 

Sounds just like my local flu clinic. But they just do that in a day or two each week for a few months. Seems like this is going to be well organised and slick as long as supply meets demand.

 

my flu jab was 5 mins. Just a drive thro in GP car park. Hope this could be the same?

 

Pretty sure they keep you for a few mins to check if there is any bad reaction.

 

I would normally with Flu, but was home in under 3 mins.

None for the Oxford one.

Surprised at how quickly they've been doing it at work. Well over two thirds of staff at the trust have had their first jab.

Was hardly anyone there today so didn't get much overtime!

Mine was the Pfizer and they said I would be recalled in 3 - 12 weeks
Lets hope it works this well for everyone who needs it

 

Strange you should mention that, on Friday i received a letter from the NHS saying they had noticed i haven't had my annual Flu injection yet and informing me i could book it at a local pharmacy.
I have never had a Flu jab in my life

 

I had the same, few weeks back now. I rarely get the flu, so thought why do I want to put myself through a dose of it.

 

I have one early as possible each year. Normally at local pharmacy but this year my GP had them months before and though it best to have with them.

NHS pushing for as many as possible to have this year to prevent flu patients taking up Covid spots.
Also had pneumonia one when I started dialysis, that’s the big killer. Can’t remeber if that’s for life or needs boosting every 10

 

it’s not a live virus(one I have anyway) you get an immune response which makes you sometimes feel a little off. Not even a sore arm this year for me.

well maybe my description isn’t bang on, pneumococcal vaccination if you go by the blurb. Silent pneumonia also had it called. Had it anyway, before dialysis and transplant they filled me up with loads

Never had flu or Pneumonia since getting them.

so pretty confident that this Covid one will do the trick too.
