I'm with you blue. If we want to be a footballing side I wouldnt have a player bigger than 6'2" or 6'3". In general, big lumps are becoming a thing of the past. An athletic CB of 6'2" is ideal in my mind. I wouldnt even have one 6'6" CB in the squad. It suggests you'd change your team to suit the opposition, probably compromising our game plan. Not that I think we have a game plan at the moment.
More on Simpson.................... https://www.footballinsider247.com/...ads-to-cardiff-to-seal-6-figure-move-sources/
Looks like we're signing Simpson from Bournemouth. He's 6ft 4ins so not one of Snow White's little friends. My Cherries contact tells me he's quick and athletic, unlike Flint. Just need to get Ng in now. That will be a £2m plus spend.
I assume Sol is out of the picture regarding playing so we have 3 CBs (when fit). Suppose we need another for cover. Yes, a RB is essential. Not a bad commitment by Tan. Whether its wise investment only time will tell. The wage bill needs some adjustment now.
That's some really good news - I didn't really want Guilbert on loan or we'd be starting all over again in the summer.
Yes that’s a positive. Surely he’s got to go straight into the team (with Simpson if he signs - has he yet?) on Wednesday which will allow Bacuna to take one of the slots in midfield from either Pack who’s suspended or Vaulks depending on what setup Harris has in mind for what really must I think be seen as a must win game to get the negative feeling at the club out of the way. Suspect Watters will be on the bench if Moore starts.
..hope this isn't true............... https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-simpson-move-to-cardiff-city-collapses-after-u-turn/
Strange thing this. Crewe's manager said that our £250K offer for Ng was "disgusting" at the time. Well now it appears that Ng had a release clause of £250K in his contract - not so "disgusting" after all? https://www.footballinsider247.com/...o-meet-perry-ngs-release-clause-in-new-twist/
Not sure about a 6ft 6ins lampost with an unsavoury off the field background. I know we have had some great Scottish signings in the past but I have reservations on this one.
29, never played outside the very average Scotch League. Not one I’d be pursuing. Just hope Morrison is fit for Wednesday
Not exactly devastated - in fact quite pleased. Maybe even we pulled the plug with Ng coming in .................. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/c...remier-league-player-makes-transfer-decision/
Just saying ng Ng is the much better long term option. Young and keen to get on. Very well thought of at Crewe.
