just to throw a spanner in the works, what about reserve games (ok i know we dont have them this year) but if the you support the club part stands then surely the reserves are still the club. unfort its the nature of club football, look at the midweek european games, even champ league games preknock out they are poorly attended at most clubs. personnally i find it hard to go to these sort of games as i know there will be a lot less than normal there meaning there is no atmosphere at all
Im the same, 7pm & £12 was a non starter. STH should have a free entry to all our first round cup matches (paint pot, fa cup & league cup) Other than having a cushioned seat reserved for you every home game and priority on cup & away tickets there isn't much to get excited about anymore.
That is the key question and unfortunately one that we fans aren't privvy to. Being based in Leeds (or L**ds as I have been told not to swear) I didn't get to the JPT match but I assume the away fans were put in the Gordon Road stand to reduce stewarding costs and taken to the extreme I suppose the club could limit the opening of just two stands (one for home fans and one for away fans), lets face it that is extremely do-able considering the attendence. Of course giving freebie tickets to season tickets holder would reduce this flexibility as, I assume, most season ticket holders would like their regular seat.
Going back to what I was discussing earlier, just received another wasted email communication from the club. You click on it and it just directs you to the O/S, the O/S is already set on my bookmark bar, so why do I need an email. delete. As I said earlier, I think the club could put this type of communication to much better use...so let me give you an example, the club are constantly promoting the blues rock and yet I will probably still go in to the Cricketers. How about enticing me to use the blues rock, send me an E Voucher for discount on food or actually send me the door price vouchers for booze. I think you get the general idea.
Cup matches and prices have to be agreed with the league and opposition teams, remember all parties have a share of the gate. How would you calculate the value of a STH getting free entry unless it was open to both sets of fans. This could then leave the club out of pocket after covering the cost of Police, Stewards, Lighting.
Grumpy. just read you opening article and would just like to lay your fears to rest..... your supporters would have to sink miles lower before you could even contemplate putting them in the same league as Leeds fans
mighty - looks like I'll have to impose myself a ban from the Leeds board now, after threats of reprisal
Brb i bet your really worried looks like Loiner will need ANOTHER change of identity but he cant hide
