Yeah it was very run down compared to other parts of Wales I've been to. I do enjoy a dodgy boozer mind. Only picked it as it was on the doorstep of the Brecon Beacons and seemed large enough to have plenty of pubs and slags. Which I was proved correct on I might point out.
I was going to go to Llanelli as I met some bird from there when I went to Carmarthen years ago. Quick Google of it being one of the worst town centres in Britain put an end to that idea!
Good call, it's grim. When I first came down to here one of the lads I first worked with used to take me out round Llanelli. There was ONE decent place, some wine bar with an Italian sounding name. All the pubs were rough as ****. Sadly, that very bloke got punched and killed on new year eve outside that very bar about three years ago.
