just watched the celebration after the two involved in the goal no 21 is Diamond and 9 is Wyke so i assume it was correct
I only know it was Scowen because I was screaming at the telly for him to push it out wide to Diamond shows how much I know about football Roger
Actually I am quite happy we play crap in a dire game and win 3-0 each time. I might not watch it... but at least we might get out of the turd division.
Johnson, and the coaches, are having a major effect on Wyke ... ... he's obviously been told to keep getting across the defender. The balls into the box are so telegraphed it's amazing the defenders don't cotton on.
In the presser, POMO stated that our success out wide wasn't helping us much in close matches. He wanted improvement in the center of the pitch. I guess the narrow formation was his way of addressing that... But after watching the lads chase down all those counter attacks, my hamstrings are sore.
Difficult to tell as he was only involved a few times. Reasonably fast, tracked his man easily. Turned, spotted a forward pass and played it very quickly. That ability might me key to how LJ wants to play. Scowen can carry the ball forward well but he's poor at releasing it at the right time and runs into trouble. Apart from that time!
Said god knows how many times, play crap and win all your games you go up! Couldnt give a damn if we don’t string 5 passes together over the rest of the season. Win the games.
Wykes a limited footballer but to be fair to the lad never gives up Think its to his credit that he's working so hard doing what LJ wants and carving out a role for himself. LJ tried something a bit different today. Bit more narrow and direct. Don't think it really came off but was very encouraging that he changed things again at the end with Diamond Think he's looking for a formula to create more chances so may chop and change a bit. I'm confident in a few weeks time we'll start to dominate games. Onwards and upwards
Didn't see the game but followed the match via the forums the match thread on rtg is very amusing as the emotions of great/****/poor/average/back to good roll on and on. However a great result but I gather a not overly convincing performance
