Yep. Thank god for negative interest rates.... for now. My wife packed her job in last Feb to have a month off and look for another job. Fortuitous in many respects but she's had enough of being a part-time teacher on zero salary. But getting a new job is a mammoth task. Despite tightening our belts, we've burnt through savings on unforessen stuff. Anyway, we're still alive and have a lot to be thankful for but I can only imagine there are many others in far more difficult situations.
I agree with this. He was a prominent figure during the Brexit campaign but apart from that he's a bit of a non-entity, tbh.
ouch now now don't throw your toys out of the pram, if you make a stupid statement Disco down under Closing the "boarders" doesn't mean stopping food coming in. please explain how it comes in then
Nice sentiments, genuinely. What is the solution to this? Once your blood, sweat, tears and financial risks pay off and you reap the benefits, does it become capped on how much you can have and once you make so much money you have to start giving it away? To whom? How do you continue to create new businesses and employment if you're to become restricted at a certain point?
You understand that closing borders isn't a 100% black and white thing. It can be done in phases. You can close them to some things and not others. You can allow essentials through while mitigating the risk caused by the pandemic and cut down none essential travel. There isn't much point talking about this. I could say the sky is blue, grass is green and Salma Hayek is the best thing since sliced bread and you would disagree and call me a left wing extremist.
I don't have the answers. I'm no economist. I'd imagine higher taxes for the uber rich. I'd imagine making people actually pay some taxes would help too. I just think there should be far more onus on billionaires and multi millionaires to improve the world that made them rich. I just like the idea of kids getting food, healthcare, an education and a proper go at life. I don't think all of them currently do.
there isn't much point talking when the guy your talking to is deaf dumb and blind to the problems closing the boarder would create........You made a comment but don't like the reply,as this would make you look a silly boy so instead you try and bluff it out with your superior intellect as you see it. Would those essentials be 9,000 lorry drivers per day untested, not including the Irish ferry's and drivers delivering to Europe, there is also the ferry's arriving from Denmark and Norway we also have the problem of Brits returning from holiday or would you deny them entry, closing boarders wont help
Playing it on the ground Overlapping full backs Wide players switching wings Its not been perfect, but its getting better. Edit. Wrong bloody thread
Could the Brits on holiday not have been stopped going on holiday? Once the last few return. Could the borders not be shut to holiday makers? Why the **** are people going on holiday when people are dying? How is this an actual argument we are having?
It's absolutely crazy mate ... ... stay home/stay safe/stay my arse. Sunderland 1-0 up at half time, Embleton probably our most creative player and O'Brien working his socks off
im not arguing you replied to my comment about why people on here keep saying the boarders should have been closed, but no one looked at the reason why they were not Thank you for your civil reply it makes the board much more pleasant hope you enjoy the mach and have a nice day i mean that sincerely
Stopping movement stops transmission of the virus we ****ing know that. No **** is arguing that. You're being ****ing obtuse to the point where you're now denying the science behind the pandemic. I am completely done with you. Best of luck.
no mate it only takes one to get in, that's why we are where we are it all started with ground zero patient, we either stop everything and everyone but what you suggest still means spreaders will set off the disease cycle again.
