i went on site to check the stream and listend to the manager he was big in praise for Winchester he recons he is up to championship Standard so if the deals done he could be playing he was also well pleased with Geads and his work ethics he like the way he works with the younger players , he could end up captain my opinion, Which is a long way from the position when PP tried to ostracise him just because he tried to gee the players up and undermined his tactics.Sad sack pp was and a useless twat pleased we got rid,
apologies if already put up earlier https://safc.com/news/team-news/202...wimbledonaway&eid=354123&_ccCt=OSd~AtguyZ28gV
I'm not one for reading berween the lines but that sounded to me like he was saying 'wtf were we doing signing Grigg'. What I like about his interviews is that he seems to respect the journalists and doesn't try be be clever with them. It's not just cliché cliché cliché daft quip cliché. I was glad to see him bring up what I've been saying about the salary cap, it needs challenging as it's restriction of trade. If we bring in the revenue of 30,000 supporters but can't quite get promotion where does all that money go and what's the point?
It is mate. When you look at the games we've dropped points in, it beggars belief that we are still in touch with the leading pack. Mind there's no doubt that losing to Wigan and MK Dons, and drawing with Burton, Wimbledon, Northampton is not what you would expect from a side looking to get promoted. However, I think we all know that we've got one of the best defensive records in the league, and you're right, it's blatantly obvious it's our lack of creativity and goals that has us where we are. It's also very apparent that with a couple of the right acquisitions we could romp this league.
Aye fair enough. I never saw the game midweek, I always have reservations about anyone who plays well against lower league opposition but has been ****e the rest of the time but he came with a decent rep so hopefully it's a sign that he's more suited to Johnson's football. If he provides a bit of decent movement and doesn't foul or fall over when the ball gets near him then it'll be better for everyone in the build up. I still feel Wyke will start though Edit: just seen Wyke had a bad back so very well could be out. Blessing in disguise hopefully
Good news - we only have a sprinkling of snow in the 'balmy' south. It's already melting now so hopefully the game should be OK.
If you have a spare 45 minutes - give this a listen, Ivor Hellor from Wimbledon shares some of his memories of previous games against Sunderland.
Interesting starting XI today if correct Burge, Power, Wright, Willis, Mcfazdean, leadbitter, Scowen, Embleton, mcgeady, obrien, Wyke. 4222 formation
Diamond would be one of the first names on my team sheet but the lad who sent me that team is bang on every week
I would assume, Diamond, Maguire etc on bench so not bad. Unless Sanderson is injured I think Wolves must be taking him back if he isnt playing.
Sanderson is a good player imo who I thought would start every game. If he's not to be used he should go back. LJ has hinted we need to use the loan system well so we should always be straight with players and clubs ... ... we may need to rely on them while the squad is sorted out.
