Why do you keep ignoring the fact that it's already been made public that he has agreed to give up the pay rise he was already due for starting another game under his existing contract?

Wages are always difficult to pin down because anybody who sees a payroll run may not have all the information. I wouldn't think that all the constituents of the contract are set out on the payslips. It would also ignore "image rights" and other tax reduction payments.

Saying the club shouldn't just give in to demands and calling someone greedy are 2 very different things. If others are calling him that on other forums then fair enough.

Let's not be dramatic though, he's not being shafted at all, he's being offered more money then he's currently earning and would earn after his next start of a game, to sign a longer deal. If he signs that deal it gives BOTH the club and the player more security long term.

'KLPs representatives demands' - what should he say? "KLPs representatives polite requests". I don't think the former means KLP is being greedy. I agree that elsewhere have made out he is greedy. Some people always think that footballers shouldn't get more than they get.

But each player has to be judged on an individual basis. The "demands" aren't unreasonable and they don't downplay any commitment to the club on his part. They have to decide, and quickly, what their main objective is.

If they want promotion, then it's reasonable to give in on these terms (which will be relatively inexpensive when compared to signing an experienced player) in order to get them on the pitch and impacting games. It's no good having him on the pitch for 20 minutes a game with ability like he has.

If they want to make money, then by all means hold out, but it risks pissing off the dressing room, the manager and the player for the sake of a year. They aren't making a good case for him wanting to sign to an extra year, so why should he? Otherwise you could use the "you've been here since you were eight" argument at every contract negotiation, at some point that doesn't work anymore.

He's given a fair amount already, he'd give a hell of a lot more if he wasn't stuck on the sodding bench.

He should get the Union in, tell them to **** off, run down his contract, walk away & let them get peanuts at a tribunal.

Doesn't look like the Birmingham fans are too happy with the move

    1. Bringing in the dead beats and giving away our talent, so many wonderful decisions made by the manager

    2. They will regret this moving Crowley. Great player better than the rubbish Karanks bought.

    3. Good luck Dan. Another bad move by Blues and it's incompetent owners and manager.
