I thought it was ambitious when he said it. What's the weekly target? 2 million? We're at the end of the second week and they've done 2.2 million. They're going to have to work hard to catch that up.

You realise it's not the government responsible for that, right?

Serious question. We are the envy of Europe because of our success with vaccines. Why haven't you praised our government for that and why does it seem you'd rather attempt to put a negative spin on it?

Praise the government, you're having a laugh.

Boris Johnson could face Tory challenge if lockdown lasts through spring

Not surprised, everyone there behaved well, playing by the rules, except Jack Frost he was out and about as well.

Woman rang into jeremy vine program this morning. Staff at her mothers care home refusing vaccine . Oh , is that because young women are worrying about fertility? No , she said , one of them told me her reason was “ 6 people have died from the vaccine”. So sad that someone has said this in first place - sadder that someone else actually believes.
Probably facebook “ fact” of course

Did you see that someone has spreading fake news about the vaccine containing material from pigs? This has apparently caused some people from south Asian backgrounds to refuse it. Its frightening that people are happy to spread misinformation.

All kinds of things wrong here.

Programmes that appeal to the type of audience who believe Freddie Starr ate their hamster shouldn't be allowed to discuss such a serious and delicate subject, some people believe anything they see on TV.

Nor should they allow an anonymous caller to speak on behalf of care home staff. I don't believe a word of it tbh, some people will eat maggots to get on TV, let alone flapping their gums to Jeremy Vine.

The TV station should be asked to provide details of this woman so her story can be verified. If she's deliberately lied I'd say that's grounds for a prosecution. The TV station should also be warned imo.

FFS this is all bad enough without loonies being allowed on national TV.

The roll out is all being managed in house by the NHS, that could be why it is working so well. My wife is currently sticking needles into folk at the Centre for Life and is impressed with the way things are running and the training given.

It was clear from the training that senior managers in the NHS are really critical of how track and trace has been handled and are determined to show that the public sector know what they are doing.

That's good to know. The NHS (obviously) and other public sector workers have carried the country through this. There definitely some institutions in this country of which we should be truly proud. I thought that the new year's honours list might reflect that more.
