If you want to do overtime then you need to "opt out " of the EUROPEAN UNION 48 hour week regulation anyway and have done for about 15 years .

No employer is going to force their workforce to work more than 48 hours a week and most will insist you take a day off a week unless you opt out of the EUROPEAN UNION working time directive.
