Just looked at the home and away form tables for this season. We're 2nd in this season's "home table" and 9th in the "away table". The key being we've suddenly found the knack to beat the teams we should be beating at home. Plus the fact we're rather good now. The only reason we're not higher in the away table is not turning those draws into wins.
It would be better if I had posted this in the right thread! Saturday 16th January 2021 20:00 KO Referee: Stuart Attwell. Assistants: Harry Lennard, Eddie Smart. Fourth official: Robert Jones. VAR: Jonathan Moss. Assistant VAR: Andy Halliday.
I'm happy for continuing the PL but I think the players have to be more in tune with post goal etc celebration behaviour. Some of it is, and has been in my view for some time, a bit OTT. Then I'm a traditionalist, shake of the hand for me.
Yeah I’ve often wanted to do that but I suffer from the dreaded “bad luck” syndrome of thinking if I wander the opposition will score. Keeps me firmly planted & like with our last game, heart rate going thro the roof. Virtually did a “Ralph” at FT!
344 minutes without conceding a goal. Long may that continue. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/1...fts-lid-saints-impressive-clean-sheet-record/
The manager has confirmed that @IngsDanny returned a positive Covid-19 test last week. After self-isolating, the striker will return to training tomorrow but will likely miss this weekend's action.
Vestegaard, Redmond & Djenepo still out - Obafemi has had a surgery. But Alex McCarthy is back and fit after Covid.
Ings could return to training tomorrow if he returns a negative test. So he could in theory still play.
