Means our schedule over the next few weeks is: Sat 16th Jan: Leicester (A) Tues 19th Jan: Shrews (H FA cup) Sat 23rd Jan: Arsenal (H FA cup) - if we beat Shrews Tues 26th Jan: Arsenal (H) Sat 30th Jan: Villa (H) Tues 2nd Feb: Man Utd (A) *Sat 6th Feb: Newcastle (A) Weds 10th Feb: Wolves/Chorley (A FA cup) - if we beat Arsenal *Sat 13th Feb: Wolves (H) *Sat 20th Feb: Chelsea (H) * date could change if games are picked for TV. If we beat Shrewsbury (as we'd expect) it will be 8 games in 29 days between Leicester away and Wolves at home. It will be 9 games if we make the 5th round of the cup. A tough run, so let's hope the short break since Liverpool has allowed some of our injured players to get back fit. Presume Ralph's presser is today?
I've looked for the fixture on any/all BT Channels, and it is not obviously being shown. On closer inspection of the OS, the only, rather vague, information about the particular TV channel states "the fixture will take place next Tuesday, with kick-off at 8pm. The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport." On BT's own web site, they have reported that the FA Cup twitter account says “The tie will now take place at St Mary’s Stadium at 8pm on Tuesday 19 January and broadcast live in the UK on @btsport.” This suggests (to me, anyway) that the game is NOT on television, but will be streamed (on BT's Twitter account? or similar?). I am happy to be corrected, so can anyone definitively say which channel Saints v Shrewsbury, at 8:00 pm on Tuesday 19th January, will be broadcast on? Alternatively, do I need to be dragged kicking and screaming into the murky world of Twitter?
According to wheresthematch.com it’s on BT Sport 2 You have to click on the individual team to find it, as I couldn’t see it on the main page. Scroll to bottom of page.
@saintrichie123 did the red button work on Virgin Media for the BT Sports Extra channels the other day? (I have been as careful as I can about my wording after last week's wording lol)
Southampton v Shrewsbury Town The original allocation for this game was Referee Graham Scott Assistant Referees Peter Kirkup & Steven Meredith Fourth Official Darren England VAR Craig Pawson AVAR Nick Hopton No updates on The FA site, yet, but it may change.
Totally agree. Shrewsbury may have less resources than Villa or Derby but that does not excuse the photos of Shrewsbury players breaching lockdown rules on social media.
St B, As per your information, I've just looked on 'wheresthematch.com'. For Tuesday 19th January, they list Bayer Leverkusen v Borussia Dortmund with a 7:30 ko on BT Sport 2, as well as Southampton v Shrewsbury Town, with an 8:00 ko, also on BT Sport 2. When I scroll through the available programmes on my TV, the match listed as being shown on BT Sport 2 on Jan 19th is Bayer Leverkusen v Borussia Dortmund at 7:30, with no obvious mention of Saints v Shrewsbury. There are a couple of 'blank' BT Sport Extra channels, and I believe that the original Saints v Shrewsbury match would have been on BT Sports Extra 2, on Saturday (before it was called off). As such, it is entirely possible that Saints v Shrewsbury will be broadcast on one or other BT Sports Extra channel, but no-one/no organisation, inluding BT themselves, has yet provided this definitive information. In short, the Saints game will probably be on TV, probably on one of BT Sports' channels, but nothing has been confirmed. Probably.
Saints or Shrewsbury v Arsenal will be shown live on BT Sport 1, 12.15 kick off on Saturday 23rd Jan.
St B (and anyone/everyone else) , BT's list of programmes has now been updated, and Saints v Shrewsbury is now the match which will be shown on BT Sport 2, Tuesday 19th January, with an 8:00 pm kick off.
Wont even find out now ....the game clashes with Holby (wife will win that one) ....so spare room watching on my chrome book it is
