Yeah, but it's not. Lose to Arsenal, same furore, no change. Lose again, same again. Until we're in that bottom 3, nothing will change. It's a race against time - but everybody can see Ashley is going to lose, except - it seems - Ashley himself. There's simply not enough time left to get arbitration and a takeover done to repair the damage Bruce is doing. Arsenal aren't very good at the moment - we should have gone with a new manager 'bounce' to try and get points here, and home vs Leeds. Could have grabbed 4-6 points just on good-will, but we'll lose both meekly because Bruce does not have the brain nor support from his players to get anything. Ashley just thinks he's invincible, that everything always comes good for him, in spite of 14 years of abject failure as a football club owner. I mean, how does anyone learn nothing in 14 years? Charnley's disappearing act has been the most under-reported thing. Is he there anymore? Is he already gone? What's he doing, day to day?
The manager bounce is exactly what I wanted for Arsenal and Leeds, Pearson would have been absolutely perfect. His first Watford game was Liverpools first defeat in a year. Howe would also be such a shock of new tactics I'd expect a lot of early points, enough to keep us up. But, instead we are losing a valuable chance of points because we are idiots. Time is fast running out to salvage this season.
Yep, Howe, Pearson, even Joey Barton - the immediate change would have just been "get in their faces", pass/go, more solid and understandable shape (I still can't get over 2 "false 10's", I've seriously never heard anything more ridiculous in all my life) using our better places in their best positions. I honestly think the following would easily survive: 4-4-2: Darlow/Dubs; Manq, Fede, Clark, Lewis; Murphy, Hayden, MLong, Almiron; Wilson, Carroll/ASM. OR 5-3-2; Darlow/Dubs; Manq, Schar, Fede, Clark, Lewis; Hayden, MLong, Almiron; Wilson, Carroll/ASM. Bruce's ideas play players out of position, overload the wrong areas, leave midfield and CF exposed and leave us open to very low possession and conceding too many chances, relying on luck. The only hope I have is Bruce just can't get any worse. He needs to just go back to the team and literally say "what do you lot want to do?" - at least then we might see some positivity, enough to get through and get this club sold.
Bruce could yet get 2 or 3 wins over these coming games and that would be great, but I don't see any evidence that he even knows who his best players are.. He seems to get everything wrong... Every single thing

That’s would just be a great start. I still think 4-4-1-1 with the right players in the right positions with simple tactics and we will pick up points. Leave the clever tinkering **** to others who can do it.
You could switch between them toe formations depending on the teams you face and have simple tactics. And just let the players play to their own strengths. At least then if it doesn’t work yet we have given it a good go we wouldn’t be half as pissed off!
