I watched the NY police v mafia on Netflix and that got me into it. Then learned about the whole set up. Goodfellas are all based on true characters and incidents with some obvious poetic licence. That Michel Franzese guy on YouTube was a made man and he’s very interesting to listen to...I’m surprised it’s not up your street tbh. Man was raking it 8mill a week doing some fuel scam for starters.
