Haway big man, back up what you've said about all these people leaving the board and gossiping like washer women. Is this how tough guys like you carry on, whining on the internet like you have absolutely nothing better to do. Grow up ffs, your regiment, if you haven't made it up, would be ashamed of you.
I'm invariably polite until people attack me ... ... then I'll assume the rule book has been torn up and I'll have a go back. If people are civil and polite I'll always respond 'in kind' whether I agree with them or not. Once people choose to make things personal I'll post as I see fit. If you can't handle that don't get snidey and get personal.
It would be better if you 2 took this spat off this thread and continued it via PM, any body new to this forum will be thinking WTF. Please finish this here now or go private with it.
TBF mate, I let it drop days ago. I have no interest in pursuing this ridiculous argument. All I've done is respond to more ridiculous personal attacks. I'm only posting 'on topic' so don't feel inclined to have pms with people who obviously hold some weird grudge. If people leave me be I'll only post on topic as I always do.
WTF, nearly 1600 people died today, cases are still over 40k a day and this thread has descended into a Willie waving contest. I expected better of 606
Yet some people claim everything has been handled well and we should all hail the PM ... ... I'd say people, in a democracy, have the right to doubt everything is great. The whole thing is a shambles and people who believe that have the right to say so.
It doesnt matter which side of the fence you sit, red or blue, it doesn't matter who's to blame or who did things well or not. There is no escaping the fact it is a disgrace that we have got to this. Have the government been perfect? **** no Have the opposition held them in enough scrutiny? **** no. The only consistent thing in this entire circus is every single politician looking out for himself and not giving a ****
The onus is on the government, not the opposition of Labour, Liberals, etc. IMO they've made a mess of this crisis at every stage. I hope things improve but I don't have too much faith tbh.
The onus is on every government for the last 30 years. The jewel in our crown, our one saving grace is the nhs and every single sitting government has took the piss
Yes, the government are responsible for the decisions they make. There's also an onus on the general public who have failed so spectacularly with their arrogant and selfish behaviour. I honestly believe that no government could have controlled the spread because we have too many rule breakers.
Do you believe the actions of Dominic Cummings, and the total defence from the PM, had any effect on how people behaved.
Not for the vast majority, no. People would have been more concerned about their own MP's who they voted in when they were caught flouting the rules. Plenty of them done it from Labour and Conservative. They are elected to parliament by their constituents. Dominic Cummins was just an advisor.
If people want to use that as an escuse then more shame them. Yes I was staggered that they let him get away with it, did it make me want to break or bend the rules? Not a chance as I would like to think I had more common sense
He was an advisor who was at the centre of the pandemic, someone who dictated the strategy and who was called a man of integrity by the PM. If you can't accept his actions, and the defence by the PM were wrong, that's fair enough. I believe the actions and defence were ill considered and the reason he eventually kicked out.
Thick people, of which there are millions, take the actions of those in power as an excuse to break the rules. Decent people, like you and I, aren't the problem. Our leaders shouldn't be giving these idiots any excuse to break the rules.
90% of thick people would break the rules anyway, let alone know who Dominic Cummings is. I don't see a load of Scottish people using the mo up there breaking the rules as an excuse
I've never said that his actions aren't wrong? You seem to have an unnatural obsession with Dominic Cummins and Boris Johnson, Smug. It's all you want to focus on. You keep completely ignoring that our public are hugely at fault and need to shoulder a fair bit of blame for their behaviour during this which has undoubtedly contributed to the massive spread of the virus. I honestly think people will be more pissed off with the MP's they've elected breaking the rules rather than an advisor to the government.
To be honest I'm more pissed off with people that wouldn't even know their local mps name breaking the rules
