The only thing I couldn't accept is relegation again. I think we can get as high 6th but we have to remember we have a small and largely unproven squad, so if we get injuries we could struggle. Any improvement on last season would be considered a success!

As I understand it, there was an informal offer of less money a while before the whole saga really took off that Joey told them to stick, which is why no contract was offered. However, I may be wrong here, that's just a vague memory

Aye he had an offer, but it involved a pay cut and less years. I think they just wanted rid and obviously this was the reason for the low balling. They knew that no player in the modern game, in their pomp and playing well was gonna accept those terms. Him and Nolan, late twenties, one looking old quickly, one with a history of problems, they were always being pushed out for me. I didn't agree with Barton going but lets not reopen that one, I got abused for doing so on this forum not long ago!

Agree at this present time I'd say 7th easy ask me later on when we see how we do without the ACN players/any incoming transfers in Jan and of course the winter (maybe not so much of a factor these days) but if we cope well without tiote,Ba and get some decent cover and a striker in Jan I'd still stick with your optimistic outlook :)
The biggest test for me isn't spurs or any of the "big boys" but how we cope with a loss or a run of bad form because you know we're going to get hammered from all sides when it comes along.

That would be awful. I would probably put Santon there if Willo was still injured

Seems to be rubbing his new team mates up the wrong way if you look at the QPR board maybe that's why the fat one wanted the player power smashed and knew CH couldn't control the dressing room. Now don't shoot me but there was lots of rumours at that started around the time of CH leaving that gathered pace later on with nolan, barton and jose rocking the boat didn't believe them at first but the more that's come out the more plausible they seem, guess we'll never know the whole truth though.
