The commentator mentioned Sol Bamba during the first half, and I didn’t quite catch what he said. Just looked him up and the poor fella has cancer. I also thought he was massively underrated him. Played a blinder on his last visit to Goodison with Cardiff.
He was good for a bit but deteriorated rapidly in this league. He’s got non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Guessing from how it was reported, his age and it being one of the more treatable cancers he’s got a good chance.
So our cup tie against Shrewsbury will be played on Tuesday with the Leeds match postponed. Glad it'll be played but PL could regret it if one of us and Leeds has an outbreak down the line and has another couple of games postponed.
