What is this reluctancy to play him in his natural position at right back where he excelled in the championship last season? His positioning is poor at centre back and Eaves could have had a few before he went off in all honesty. This in no way slagging Sanderson off because I actually think there’s a player in him, but surely he needs played on the right over McLaughlin ffs.
Agree, and has the physical ability unlike Flanagan, he stood up late on to that w@nker who kicked our keeper in the head
Played most of his career at centre half like so not sure right back is his natural position. Think he ended up filling in there at Cardiff due to injuries. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dion-sanderson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/495993
His natural position is centre half and he said that himself. He got caught ball watching a couple of times last night, but he’s got all the attributes to be a good centre half.
Agree he lost Eaves a few times before he went off, he looked much better second half though. Tin hat on but I think McLaughlin has done well in the last few games
I think he is a centre half personally. He is learning so will make mistakes but overall I think he has real quality. I would keep him in the middle and find the best partner for him. When Eaves hit the bar I thought that Mcfadzean was at fault as well. He could see Eaves pull off Sanderson but didnt cover the move.
His natural position is CB and I think that’s where wolves want him developed. He looked k yesterday but I agree his best position would be full back. Think that’s where he spent all last season
I thought he played alright. As some have said he lost Eaves a couple of times, but he looked much more comfortable than Wright did yesterday. He has pace so it makes it easier for him to make up for his mistakes.
Afraid I can't see it from McClaughlin. It seems too easy to get crosses in against him. Same on the other side as well. These two aren't good enough and we really need the other two back or reinforcemnts.
McLaughlin wouldn't be my first choice but I think he has done a decent job since he was brought in, I am more concerned about McFadzean but I suppose we all see things differently
I think our two full backs are a weak link defending and in McLaughlin case he’s not too good going forward or defending, Hume needs to be a bit more aggressive in his responsibilities defending but is great going forward, I’m not worried about centre half’s as I’m quite surprised at Flanagan this season and he was a miss on Saturday hopefully he’s back soon. Him alongside Wright will do us this season but it’s imperative we have to get someone in at right back
For me Sanderson at right back, simply because we are weakest in that position Connor Mac as cover for Bailey Wright, or in the middle of a back three.. I would even give Power the nod over Connor just to see if he offers more to the team from there, as he offers so little in midfield. To be perfectly honest we need better first eleven choices than either imo.
His natural position is centre back, he came here as a centre back, Wolves said he's a centre back, he said himself he is a centre back and we keep playing him at centre back. Not really sure why folk think his natural position is right back to be honest. I also have a feeling part of the reason we got him on loan over Championship clubs could be because we agreed that's where we would play him. He isn't shifting to fullback unless we lose all other players who play in that position as we did against Northampton when he ended up at left back.
