I'm not necessarily defending anyone but incompetence is a long way from criminally negligent.

Giving out colossal contracts to your mates who are incapable of fulfilling them, rather than sourcing supplies in the normal way is arguably criminally negligent.

It is great that he was diagnosed and treated, despite the pandemic, so hopefully now he is in the system the ongoing support will be set up in accordance with his needs.
My wife’s support and treatment has been “as per usual” during the past year, other than face to face chats with the consultant.
We started to write questions down, in advance of the phone consultations, so that we wouldn’t forget what to ask, but we miss not seeing the scan images and X-rays as they could trigger questions that we hadn’t previously thought about.
All the best to him, and those supporting him, because as I have learned from experience, it can wear them down as well.

If only there was some kind of multi million pound way of finding out where she is and where she’s been?

The country hasn't had its 9-0 yet. Once we get that, things will get better and we will come out stronger.

Despite being offered already up and running and working systems for free I seem to recall. I wonder why that is? Wouldn't happen to be anything to do with who the money went to...

So we let inept and incompetent governments go without scrutiny and criticism bollocks to that!

I'm concerned about the Netherlands where we live, the UK and Indonesia where we spend time visiting family and friends on extended holidays. None have a good record, the Indonesian numbers questionable to say the least.

As for gung ho handshaking spaffer Johnson allowing Cheltenham, Atletico fans coming from a known hotspot, the rugby and other gatherings, ignoring advice from various countries and organisations to lockdown early which lost the UK priceless time at a cost of unnecessary suffering and death. The fiasco of PPE and dropping test, trace and isolate and the false numbers game only to plain. More recently the request for an shutdown to contain the second wave and the Christmas cock up has led to the world beating figures in England.

All governments, oppositions, organisations and individuals that need should get full scrutiny they deserve.

The Dubai government offered us one for free, but Tory friends couldn’t make any money out of that......so let’s waste 22b on a system that doesn’t work.

I hope your cousin is a fighter and has a cancer that can be managed by careful treatment, to give him/her a good few years of decent living.
Best wishes to him/her and family.
Mrs Badger has survived her terminal prognosis for 6 1/2 years and is determined to make it to her state pension. 20 months to go.

Thanks St B. Sadly he has recently been told that all the new treatments he has tried over the last 12 months are to no avail, so we are in the last 4-6 month window now. Two boys, 12 and 14 too :(

I know everyone says this, but he is just the nicest bloke I know. I’m a gnarly old terrier, but he wouldn’t say boo to a ghost. Life does suck sometimes.

and long may Mrs B win her fight.

So sorry to hear that. Life can be so cruel and, without wanting to come across as heartless, his family and friends can channel their support whilst having time to prepare themselves for when the end comes.
    It will still hurt.
Thank you for your kind words for Mrs B.
    Al the best

    Yeah, I just read this.

In all honesty, and much as I loathe Boris, words cannot express the extent to which I do not give a ****. The bloke was out on his bike ffs.

He nearly died when he had the virus before, because he was overweight; he can’t go to the gym. Let him ride his bike; this grassing and finger pointing culture has to stop.
