Wilks needs to lose a stone in weight. He is clearly overweight.

    Too many patty and chips.

I don't think Eaves played well at all. Yet again. His awful touch led to a foul which led to their goal, during which Eaves missed the opportunity to head clear or at least put McCeady off. OK, others were at fault too, including not yet (or much) mentioned Honeyman who stood outside the box hands and simply watched McCeady waltz away from him to be unmarked in the box and score. Honeyman was probably most at fault out of them all. Eaves missed a free header sitter and he failed to make the best of another good opportunity. His link up play wasn't (and isn't) good at all; he's far too slow in thought and possession when he does have the ball and he's constantly in the pocket of L1 CB's.

This isn't about Eaves bashing. It's about recognising the reality and asking what's going on. He did well at Gillingham, although if you look at his record since 2014, his spell at Gillingham is a one off i.e. his goal scoring record elsewhere has been poor. Why was he a success at Gillingham? Maybe the system & instructions suited him? Where is he getting the coaching from now in the craft of being a CF? I don't see any evidence.

Nah, they'd been watching him for a while. They knew how good he was and knew they could pull our pants down with idiot doing the negotiations.

There was commotion Chazz. Woefully undersold. Robertson was never bought as back up either. Same with Maguire - Leicester expected to pay £10m more than they did.

It’s a bit weird to discuss how good our centre forwards are at holding play up etc.etc., Its the job of the centre forwards to get the better of centre halves and score goals. They aren’t doing that with any regularity. Not only that easy, easy chances are being spurned on a regular basis. How can that continue ? We need a goal scorer in that position not a back to goal player. How many wingers have we got to play the ball to the front man. How many times do they score with headers. We need goals from our CF. If a dog barks it’s a dog.

Klopp had seen him first hand in 2016/17 keep Mane in his back pocket at the KC.

Just on a point ... not just last night, but our forwards are rubbish at defending set pieces... Magennis nearly own goaled last night and 'he' has cost us goals this season in similar circumstances and more than once... no one having a pop at him though..

Breath of fresh air to breakfast maker farts.

'Breakfast Maker' – a guff which smells so bad that the missis has no other choice but to get out of bed and make the breakfast.
