give him a contract MA guarantee him 12 starts £20k a week ….. any offer over £4m ... after September 2021 he can go should he wish
That is not bad thinking, a change for all could be great but Fam and Britt up front could be a match made in heaven, hang on as well to a fired up Nahki Wells and we have got the 3 Musketeers.
personally think Chris Martin is different gravy very intelligent football player that is Derby’s third highest goal scorer-if Wells want out then he needs to go been unimpressed by him. Martin and Britt that could be very interesting.
Forgive me, how dare I, I forgot Chris Martin, momentarily, main man stays and we have the ' 4 Just Men', could be a winner if MA gives permission, he is our new 'Furher' after all.
RR and Wiz. With our current supply/set up to the strikers I don't think it matters who's plays up front.
Birmingham and Bristol City targeting 27-year-old Premier League player https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...-targeting-27-year-old-premier-league-player/
Every January for about 4 years and counting his name pops up involving interest from us, must be a god son of Ashton.
Diedhiou 102 in 301 games = 1 in 2.95 games Assombalonga 123 / 311 = 1 in 2.53 games Martin 112 / 421 = 1 in 3.75 games Assombalonga is better, but that does include league one games where he was prolific. His highest championship goals per season was 15. The same could be said about Fammy as his also include **** leagues, but he seems to stuck on 13 per season where ever he plays. What let’s Fammy down is he has a habit of a lot of misses, but his record is not as bad as people think. Plus at the moment he has a groin issue hence he only plays 30 minutes at a time. **** me I’ve morphed into JGF
Diedhiou generally has an appalling first touch, he very rarely if ever manages to hold the ball up, it normally comes straight back so instead of relieving pressure it increases pressure, his balance is poor for a big man he goes down far too easily, he is reactive and not pro active, he never takes a chance on the defender missing the ball on long balls hit up to him, he is nearly always a yard behind low driven balls into the 6 yard box, he very very rarely makes near post runs, at free kicks and corners he can usually be found behind his marker at or near the far post and again rarely if ever tries to take defenders to the near post at set pieces leaving spaces behind for incoming players to attack the ball. He is a lovely guy who IMHO is more suited like Massengo to the less physical game of France, where he did look good. Do I think Assombalonga is the complete answer probably not and given his injury record our rehab staff would probably injure him has he walked into training ground, but I think it's time for a change and it's definitely better to get something out of his seemingly inevitable transfer in the summer than sweet FA and who knows what might happen?
I mostly agree with your post , and he frustrates the hell out of me because your criticism of him is accurate , but he does have the knack of scoring, which is priceless, if he could improve on half or even less than half of his weaknesses he’d be hell of a player, unfortunately he can’t .
If he is, he's best staying well clear of BS3, there are a lot of people who will be against him from day 1 based on Nepotism......
In our present predicament he will only ever be an impact player from the bench. I would like to see us push for an Assombalonga swap if that is at all feasible, just to freshen things up. As I said better that than nowt in the summer.
There isn't enough ways to convey this but Kane and Vardy would struggle to score with our current midfield and wing backs, that is the problem not Wells or Martin.
