I have a feeling Onien will go to right back. Its not where us fans want him but he might be very effective there again under LJ

Thinks it's pretty obvious regarding Hume. O'Nien will be back at right back I would've thought as well

I think Mclaughlin has been decent at right back. Chance to get O'Nien into the middle of the park.

I wholeheartedly disagree, he's woeful and last night he was absolutely terrible.

    Yes 09 and Hume...

In many ways they will improve the overall team, Hume puts a lot of crosses in but so do Mcgeady, Diamond and Maguire.

The problem is we do not have enough bodies in the box to get on the end of the crosses or the ones who are there are useless in getting on the end of them.

All 4 so called strikers need to be given the boot ASAP. The Hull target man who went off injured ( thank god somebody knobbled him) showed how having a big lad up front winning headers and lying off to others is good.

We have nobody currently who is doing that
Wyke is the pick of a very poor bunch, anybody half decent would have a lot more goals by now.

I don't know why he doesn't switch him and Sanderson around. McLaughlin has looked better at CB than RB and Sanderson played RB at Cardiff last season.

I hope Johnson gives O'Nien a clean slate and doesn't just stick him in at RB. I think he'll put him in midfield as the need is greater there and as Billy Batts says he can put Sanderson in at RB and McLaughlin or someone else at CB.

Greater attacking threat and no square pegs in round holes. Win win.

I've said it a few times to various people but I have a feeling we've an agreement with Wolves and maybe Sanderson himself as part of the loan deal to play him centre half. Can't think of any other reason why we've avoided (last week a apart when we were desperate for a left back) playing him as full back after impressing so much at Cardiff last season there.
I think both Sanderson and Wolves see him as a future centre half so want him playing there.

I would have to disagree with that mate. We looked much better going forward when Power went to Right Back, although he's not the answer either. Think it was mentioned that Winchester can play RB. Him or 09 for that position, with the other going into midfield. Wright and Willis would be my preferred CB pairing, with Flanagan and Sanderson as back up. Hume at LB.

Fair enough pal, all about opinions. I just think he has been pretty solid defensively last few weeks, although he is no world beater. Earlier in the season I wouldnt have thought I would be backing him and would expect him to replaced by LJ in time.

I might be wrong but I think O'Nien did well as a wing back when we had 3 centre backs. In a back 4 I think it probably needs a more natural defender in there. That said he will never let you down.

Controversial opinion now, and may show how much I know, but I am not a massive fan of Bailey Wright. I think he can be slow to react and he is too quick to play the long diagonal for me. He does well when it is a physical battle, less so when up against balls on the deck.

I like it. Although if we're treating ourselves to a new striker I'll take a new keeper too, Matthews for me in the meantime.

No doubt Wright hasn't been as composed as last season. I think he operates better alongside Willis. The four centre backs we have got, plus McLaughlin are more than good enough for this division. Our defensive record is pretty good, but our attacking has as much cutting edge as a teaspoon. That's where we need to strengthen imo.

O’Nien would be great in the 10 role. Or even n cm generally. He’s so fit and would be great box to box too. Power played ok at RB and I agree, McLaughlin struggles there. Looks like CB at RB
