Our downfall not going in leading, Eaves had two very good headed chances, We then let them back in it, quick free kick Honeyman not following their player, lack of players at the back post. Bonus for them going in 1.1. Second they were the better side but we broke away a few times but that final quality lacking. Still need a couple of quality players in if we are serious for that top two. A point away not a bad result, we battled well but that word again Quality. Still want to see a different type of striker to what we have brought in. More pace with movement to give us something different when needed.

The club and atmosphere 100% was in a much better place back then and more positive. But remember the stick DD used to get and others. We are nothing like the club we where back then and it's a crying shame, but with hindsight we always seem to remember the bad times as worse then they where and the good as better then they where, it's human nature.

Well Green, Allsopp & Elliott didnt do much in the championship, although they were outstanding in league 1, such is the difference in quality and why this league appears to be so ****ing ****e.

    Good post.

The other good post earlier on was one that described us as 11 individuals...That's it in a nutshell.

Out of interest, why should the club just let him sign a contract for the pretty much the same length he has now and just give him more money for nothing in return? Most in here have been screaming for the club to tie our younger players down to longer deals....but when they try to, they get slated for it.

IF QPR are paying all his wages. We might still be subsidising some of them.

Didn't some / all the players take a (30%?) wage cut when we dropped divisions and McCann a 20% cut?

They don’t have a relegation on their cv and they’d beat this mob.
So far the current lot haven’t done much in the championship

He already has a contract and the club are trying to avoid the terms and conditions they agreed to.

The SKY curse again. We should have been home and dry by half time, but we weren't. Then again we didn't look half as dangerous going forward after Eaves went off. The obvious sub should have been KLP for Eaves, not Magennis who hardly got a sniff but.....
Dont know why Long never made an attempt to get to the header they equalised with or why Emmanuel hardly crossed the half way line. Docherty and Smallwood hardly showed too so a point away from home is better then nothing. If only Wilkes would pass....if this..... if that...and there was a time when we never expected anything at Sunderland, now a draw is a bit disappointing.

Another depressingly shoddy performance by a team which is deteriorating week by week under a clueless and tactically inept manager who seems to view 40% possession as his main goal. We are completely devoid of attacking ideas, begin retreating en masse into our own half as soon as we cede possession to the opposition, and even Honeyman seems to have become infected with the overall malaise, having his worst game this season against his old team.

Until McCant and his worthless assistants are fired, and new owners replace the destructive Allams, the best we can expect is mid-table mediocrity. One win in the last six games is reminiscent of last seasons disastrous start to the year. While our current position in the League table is more a reflection of the low quality of our current opposition than any improvement on our part. We are heading in the wrong direction.

So ! They had an agreement for a 2 year deal but Eh tried to alter it to a 3 year one on signing day ?
Why not just go with that deal ?

Ok, so why not tie him down to a longer deal with a bigger pay rise? KLP gets more money and more security, just like all the other young player who have happily signed new deals this season. Why shouldn't the club get some commitment from a player they have supported and developed from the age of 8? The lads played 37 first team games. He's a great prospect, but ATM still a prospect, sign the 3 year deal, get a pay rise then go play football and play himself into the move away from his home town club he must obviously want.

The club gave him a contract, that gave him better terms once he was in the starting XI and now won’t honour it.

We should be grateful he’s agreed to give up the clause in his current deal, not trying to force him to stick to those reduced terms for longer.

Probably one of his least effective games this season. But he wasn't alone. His midfield partners never got a grip of the game either. He cost me a tenner because I had him down to score at any time at 6-1. Fair result though Julio. Not a good team between us tonight.
