The Brigadier has been on tv saying it will be an honour for the army to work alongside the brilliant nhs. No fannying about this is what we will do. 100% command control. as i said i vote for another side but i wonder if the tories should not have behaved more like tories sooner and put the army into roles. who knows?? i dont but i do know labour cant command and control themselves at this point.

fake news puts off a number of people having vaccine … this causes waste! as people not turning up! A NHS staff member who an injection, 2021, contracted virus! [ don't know how serious ] but blame [ via media ] put on .GOV for changing the second dose to 12 weeks! " IT HAS BEEN OPENLY STATED" that immunity takes affect from about 3 weeks onward … which means this person would get some sort of immunity about 21st January …. [ or 21 days after jab maybe a few days sooner or later ].
A lot of the hospital cases are now the younger element 16? to 45? there is a fair % of death's in that group?
using ? as info is third party but source reasonably reliable.

@oneforthebristolcity not a dig at you, but what are your thoughts on this virus now? The news today is they are going to be using hotels to treat less severe Covid (the homeless victims) due to the shortage of beds in London. This and moving some from there and Wales to Bristol areas.

Reading some of 1For's quotes earlier in this pandemic seem ridiculous.
    And Rod, don't be shy.
We know you're having a dig at Captain Covid.

    What, this continuous scaremongering?
    More tests = more cases
    Winter crisis- standard
So say lockdown? Hardly a lockdown for how dangerous it’s supposed to be!!
Lol, had my flu vaccine letter today, you can guess where that went!! Same will happen with the COVID one..
I’ve not watched or read any of the main stream for ages....it’s a good way not to get sucked in by it all ...:emoticon-0103-cool: heaven!!
IMO, this farce/control will still be around for a long time I fear..

shame about the removal as it was what is needed really …. been reading about Derby police Dorset police on BBC newsfeeds … the law needs to be tightened and fines stiffened. The erjits in Dorset [ + Bournemouth ] deliberately setting out to antagonise police and break rules should be arrested and fined heavily. As for the 2 women who deliberately drove to a reservoir in Derby to get a reaction from police they made their point and highlighted an anomaly regarding "local" !!! how far is local! they have now [ Derby police ] said should someone drive 50 miles to exercise they will act!!!
Clarification is needed... I would love to drive 20 miles to Cheddar for a walk with "just one" of my friends but feel I am doing my bit by keeping locally! Should we get snow my plan is to go for a day! take a hot flask and track wild life! but locally! apparently that could mean I am breaking rule on picnic!

Prof Horby, chairman of the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (Nervtag), said there may be "early signs that something is beginning to bite" due to the restrictions - but if they did not then stricter measures would be needed.
He told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show: "I really hope people take this very seriously. It was bad in March, it's much worse now.
"We've seen record numbers across the board, record numbers of cases, record numbers of hospitalisations, record numbers of deaths."
media captionProfessor Peter Horby explains why the new Covid-19 variant is up to 70% more transmissible
Prof Horby said tougher measures might include those during the March lockdown, such as people only being able to exercise once a day and stricter rules about meeting people.

"We are in a situation where everything that was risky in the past is now more risky," he said.
Prof Horby said early signs were encouraging that the vaccines would be effective against the new Covid variants - first identified in the UK and in South Africa - and he did not want people to "hide under the duvet".
"We can see the end game now," he said.

An ITU doctor interviewed on Breakfast has said it's 'incredibly demoralising' to colleagues when people diss how overloaded our wards are.
Prof Whitty has called anti-vaxxers 'absurd' and 'selfish'.
He sums up the medieval comments from 1For over the last few months.

Seems some hospitals are reducing strength of oxygen! IC is above 92%? and basic average treatment is above 84%? top level IC ? being thinned down!

Southend Hospital has had to reduce the amount of oxygen it uses to treat patients, amid a rise in Covid-19 infections.
News of oxygen issues is understandably worrying, but not unexpected.
Tanks may be full, but flow is a problem.
Many people who are sick with Covid will need extra oxygen to help them breathe.
As Covid admissions increase, it can put huge demand on a hospital’s piped oxygen supply system.

There's talk in the press (well, the Daily Mail anyway) of the lockdown rules being extended to cancel Support Bubbles and restrict people to 1 outing on their own per week.
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...s-stark-warning-NHS-threat-surging-Covid.html

Not quite sure how the virus is 'surging' when people are in lockdown - it must be the supermarkets, churches and places of work - those are the only places still open.....
What a year this is turning into....!
