Are no higher than normal this time of year.

The NHS is struggling because beds are spaced out and so many staff are self-isolating due to the PCR mass-testing casedmic.

You can swallow the Govts lies if you want, there is enough evidence online to show anyone wanting to do any investigating of their own.

Even if you believe it or not, they've had 10 months to prepare for the much coveted "second wave" yet here we are again, shut schools despite 6 kids out of 10m dying with CV19, countless studies showing asymptomatic transmission is rare if not impossible, no evidence that masks work, and PCR testing being shown time and again to be unreliable.

    You wobbling yet?

You are too far gone buddy.

There was quite obviously a spike in deaths in March-May but nothing really since.

If you are in your 40s (I'm late 20s) then 2020 was the 27th highest mortality rate in the UK, do you remember the 26 other deadlier years when bad flus etc decimated our elderly people?

Of you 80k excess deaths, how many were due to the Govts actions? You do know of the 30k excess, at-home deaths which were not CV19 related? Samaritans reports loads extra calls which will mean more suicides etc due to folk, vulnerable folk, losing their jobs. What about the missed cancer screenings. NHS reporting 40% of cancer beds are empty. Millions of cancer screenings missed.

The Government has no right to do what they are doing.

I'm 61 ... and seen nothing like this before in my life ... I work for a global brand and have spoken to colleagues around the world throughout the pandemic, too many of whom have been directly affected in terms of losing family members, friends and colleagues ... one of my own team in the UK tested positive this week and is currently not doing great ... those that try to dismiss this as akin to 'normal flu' are incredibly naive ... IMHO

You are indoctrinated by the governments and media's fear propaganda, probably because you are scared of dying because you are not in your late 20s like the rest of us.

I consider myself to be pretty well-connected and know of only 3 people who have died *with* CV19.

    Here are the previous year's mortality;

People die Fosse, bottom line is we are wrecking society and peoples lives to keep people alive that are on their way out anyway. I couldn't care if it makes me sound like a ****.

Without any lockdowns what do you think that graph would look like?

    Probably the exact same.

I don't think our restrictions have done anything other than wreck the economy and trash our civil liberties.

Wales has been in LD for months and "cases" are still going through the roof.

Sweden has no LD and no excess deaths for the year.

If I was in charge, I would've distributed tranny porn and shielded those we knew were vulnerable.

    The same <laugh>

There would be dead bodies everywhere, the 1/2 million deaths that was said would happen if we had no restrictions is an underestimate imo.

The WHO have said that lockdowns on their own are not an appropriate option, unless they are to buy time for a solution to be implemented. I would have gone for a much stricter track and trace, and some form of containment of those infected. It's more draconian, but would have resolved it much sooner.

The true cost to the economy, as well as physical and mental health due to the current measures will unroll over the coming years.

Having said that, it's relatively easy in hindsight, and the decisions were made at the time and tried to balance all of the factors, which were often hidden in the fog of limited or poor data. There were also people clouding the issues by trying to use it for mileage in their political or other agendas.
