I agree with you both up to a point, I've never enjoyed it and, as I stated when I got home after last night's efforts, I'm ****ing ****e at it. There is a point though; a challenge, both physically and mentally, and it's outdoors. Plus, seeing gains and improvement is very good. And not doing it with pain is also a positive, when that happens. It's not really what I enjoy but it's absolutely better than **** all. At the minute I'm limited to that, press up's and going for a walk. Significantly, when I got home from work last night my Mrs said she wasn't going for a run as she had work to do. I jumped at the chance to go instead, which says something.
I've lost 5lbs in 2 days. That **** just falls off me when I'm a fat ****. Be more difficult when another 2 stone have come off
It’s all good fun when you’re losing water weight. Then three months down the line you’re doing four marathons a week and living on dust to lose half a pound.
I live 10 mins down the road from here. https://www.mbuk.com/trails/hamsterley-forest/ My son keeps asking me to go on a bike ride. Cba in the snow at the mo. There’s also some decent sections of the coast to coast in Weardale. There's a fast long downhillish part that is basically a water filled rut about 20cm wide. Drift either way and you're fuked
don’t see the fun in smearing my face on the floor after a big crash! These parks just look like a quick way to A&E then again I see no danger in wearing road cycling gear and going downhill at 40-50mph
There's a good mix at Hamsterley. No need to do jumps if you don't want to. Even the runs that have big jumps have a pussy out side option which I always take. Still good fun though. Do like the 40-50mph road think also. Can't beat working as a team to cover some serious miles at speed on the flat.
As it happens, went for my first bike ride of the year with my son this lunch time. Took a couple of photos just to prove to @Suckmyklopp that men in lycra don't look like complete ****in idiots And out on the ride.
