Utterly shocking scenes in Washington yesterday with Trump encouraging his thugs to storm the Capitol building.

Just goes to show the dangers of lying demagogues trading on the base instincts of the rabble.

Look carefully at other Russian funded and supported traitors like Farage.

I owe George Cooper an apology, He disappeared for the squad at the low point of our poor run of form having heard Ryan Lowe talking about some players not fulfilling their defensive duties and I connected the two together. In fact, he needs an operation for a knee injury and will be out for a month and possibly more.

Yes I'd seen this earlier and mentioned it on the Winter News thread.....what I read was suggesting he was out for the rest of the season,.

PS.....just found on pasoti that he has personally said on his instagram account that his season is over.

Been watching a bit of the American Way on the news channels today and there is one thing that I just can't understand. They shot JF Kennedy but Trump is still walking around without a scratch on him. Does that say even more about the American brain cell capacity. Just when you think he can't get any worse he manages to come up with another way. When you consider that the Post he holds is the most powerful in the World that has to be scary. How does somebody like that manage to con so many people and then get them doing stuff nobody else would consider. He makes Boris look almost sane. Actually I think Boris is sane he is just an idiot is all which is at least excusable. He doesn't mean to be stupid he just is. Russia, China, North Korea and Iraq must be pissing themselves laughing right now. If it wasn't so potentially dangerous it would make a great Monty Python sketch.

No you don't notdistant he was bleddy rubbish at the time and should have been dropped anyway if he wasn't damaged. Made Lowe's decision making a lot easier.

I watched Ryan Lowe's weekly interview and he said Cooper would be out for 1 to 2 months. He said that the player was depressed about the injury but that he'd reassured him. As soon as possible after he operation, Cooper will be the gym to "build up his fitness" which means cardio and upper body strength!

943 Covid cases for every 100,000 in Bromley at the moment....Dropped below the 1000 plus of recent days.

Only person I know of who has received a Covid jab is my daughter-in-law who works with children at St Thomas'.

Know of people in their 90's that have not heard anything yet.....a friend has said that one of her neighbours who is 82 can get a jab...if she turns up at Guys Hospital...now that is a 30 minute train ride away....talking about walking the plank...who in their 80's wants to do that journey.

Ask your mate Boris. I've said it a thousand times now that this bunch could not organise a teddy bears picnic from AWAYINBC's cabin. Absolutely nothing they have promised so far has come to fruition so why anyone would expect it to happen now is just crazy. I can't wait for the autopsy when this is finished. That's if anyone is alive to conduct one. Any bets Boris is nowhere to be seen when the real questions start flying. He will have retired into the distant hills on a freebie stay in a rich persons fifth home.

I'd hope so BC and maybe I'd bury him there as well. You couldn't make it up with Boris. This is the chap telling all and sundry to follow the rules they have set down for Covid. He then travels 7 miles away from his home on a bike to "exercise". He hasn't broken any of the rules apparently. However one of them is you can't mix outdoors with more than one person. So who were the four security people he took with him as security then? He obviously thinks this is ok despite telling the rest of us it isn't. The bloke is a complete moron.

I've stayed away from Brexit comments... so that I don't upset some on here....but this takes the biscuit regarding EU red tape.

Dutch Border officials were film by a Dutch film crew...confiscating ham sandwiches and other food items from drivers arriving in the Netherlands from the UK under post-Brexit rules under import regulations.....maybe they should toilet all drivers before crossing the border...so that they do not 'unload' anything that might not be pure EU produced....:D.

Were we not warned? I could have sworn there were loads of people saying this would go badly.

Bear in mind the Dutch border people are nothing compared to the French, who are the only people to have pointed an automatic weapon at me.

Scottish fishermen are finding delays in getting live fish through customs mean the European market, which takes 80% of what we catch in the UK, is effectively closed to them.

Some British fishing boats are landing catches in Denmark to circumvent the problem but threatening to export British fish processing jobs and UK landing fees into the EU.

Who knew? Why did nobody say anything?

I wonder how those car manufacturers who move complex parts all over Europe on Just In Time principles are getting on?

I watched the shell fish people moan on the News this evening about their businesses going down the swanie because of problems at the boarder. I wanted to be the reporter doing the interview and ask "so what did you vote for in the Referendum". What's that famous saying again, oh yes "be careful what you wish for". I wish I had sympathy for them but I'm finding it difficult. As you rightly say notdistant, what's next? And so it begins.........

Been living in Plymouth for a while now, and been to a couple of games. When things get back to normal where are the best pubs for a pre match drink?

A lot might depend on how many survive Blueman. Depends which area you are coming from but the Cherry Tree just off Outland Road, The Britannia in view of the ground and almost any of the pubs on Mutley Plain and all are within walking distance of the ground even for us Old Folk.

Coming from Vancouver, a pint at the airport, and drinks on board plane.
I would get there early for a full English Breakfast.
    I did that once Blueman...

Got a funny feeling the EU will come up with totally outrageous agendas soon and people will be glad we opted out. We will see.....
