Difficult to get kids to watch a 3 minute video, let alone 10. It's only in the last couple of years that I've managed to convince my son that not everything needs to happen in the first 30 seconds of a song - and he's a musician! He still moans occasionally when I put on tunes that last 10-15 minutes each though but then, so does kiwi
It's going back to the way it was in the 60s when singles were never more than 3 minutes. Everything is instant nowadays, Spotify and the like mean you can just pick and mix. Sad really, it just isn't as exciting as when a big album was due back then and you'd be in the shop on the release day...
I've got a few albums pre-ordered on vinyl, and still get excited when they get delivered. Made everyone sit around our living room last year when the new IDLES album came out, including jnrs new girlfriend, and banned talking whilst the four of us listened to the music! It's still not the same as actually being in a record shop though - it's my dream that if I won the lottery I'd open an all-in-one record shop/venue/cafe/bar
