it makes you wonder how many countries kept quiet about a 'new strain' look at the **** storm it caused us by identifying it and making it known public
50% of the genomic research on the planet is done in the UK so statistically we were the ones who were gonna find it. It will be everywhere. Just a lot of countries don’t want to know it.

Solution - Impose Tariffs on Chinese goods @ 20% and introduce a tax on Chinese services / drop or abolish VAT on UK made goods.
A simpler approach may be just to tax Chinese companies (all of which are linked to the state) and hand the cash to the Chancellor to repair the damage.
