Agree but I think it will be more if KLD would want them around. If I was him I would have an eye on them for down the road in the newly formed 'EFL/MLS' post-pandemic super league.

  3. We've no way of knowing, but it must be that the price SD was quoting up to 18 months ago to FPP is not the same as now. Things are very different. KLD may not have been prepared to meet the price at that time either. Also, the terms have almost certainly changed in that SD now,we believe, has retained a smaller stake with a view to getting a price for that in the future.....I doubt if that would have been part of a deal that FPP would have been considering.
I've always been puzzled by the FPP loan and have taken the view that there must have been conditions attached to it of which we aren't aware, although we've speculated enough on it!:emoticon-0101-sadsm It's going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out when we finally get an announcement of the change of ownership and the structure for the future, which, hopefully, will make things crystal clear so we can all move on without the endless suspicion which some of our so called fans seem to revel in.

Agree these are all good points. Its definitely a different deal than last year with FPP, but apparently FPP must have seen the new one with KLD to approve it, so if they were interested could have said, 'We don't approve, but we'll give you that instead', or plus X, or whatever. From what we know so far they clearly didn't do that, but like you say will be very interesting to find out what did happen. I'm not sure if the structure of any outstanding loans would be included in an announcement. Maybe Rodwell will be around to tell us after as Donald will be watching from afar!

Ghandi Floss, I've read your post on RTG about how you're disappointed with 'my crack', which is fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion.
It's disappointing to me that you were responding to a known wum like Oddbod who came on here to stalk me and was banned for life.

He claims, in the post that you responded to, that the hatred for RAWA on here was irrational.

That couldn't be further from the truth, certainly not in my case. I thought you knew I support RAWA and have, on this thread, praised both you and @Guinness Guzzler

My comments are far from irrational. RAWA members, including Guinness voiced quite reasonable concerns about the irrational timing of the statement and the tone and content. The Committee obviously thought some of those comments were justified as they edited the statement.

I think I have the right to say I don't like RAWA being a voice for all Sunderland supporters yet saying things many don't agree with. I don't think they should be talking about our demands, expectations and standards, then asking for a meeting before it's all confirmed by the EFL.

At the very least it would be polite to allow the new owner to introduce himself to All the supporters before RAWA push themselves to the front. I suggested to Guinness that it would also be polite if someone from RAWA posted, on here, as they have members. I deliberately didn't contact RAWA in the past couple of weeks as I didn't want to bother people over the festivities, which I'd say is polite.

I'm sorry if you find that worth personally criticising me on a forum on which I can't defend myself. Part of being a RAWA rep, I'd say, is listening to people's concerns and not just shrugging them off as irrational or a case of 'us and them' as you seem to be suggesting.

Do you not see the irony in your first line of the last paragraph. Time to let it go Smug and get the thread back on track unless you want to be pushed into the bitter Madbob /Reiver category.

I'm responding to a post entirely about me, on a forum where I can't respond, to someone I know personally ...

... no idea how that makes me bitter or anything like Madbob tbh.

If you can explain, I'm all ears.

As for @wearside wanderer II who posted,

"Why would Ghandi need to go to 606, he’s the rep for here...
He’s represents the smb not 606."

My answer is 'If he's the RTG rep why is he on here looking at posts and commenting about them over there?'

I didn't start this 'conversation' but think I have the right to correct people if they post misinformation.

If people choose to see that as obsessional, bitter or Madbob-esque I couldn't really care any less.

Anyone else think Saturday night live on sky sports would be a decent time to announce a takeover?

It's amazing how mad coincidences keep cropping up.
(I'll have to be careful how I post this but bear with me ... if you don't like reading rambling nonsense please don't feel obliged.)

I had a message from a much travelled long term Sunderland mate who's exiled in the south of the country. He's worked all over the world including France, Hong Kong, Australia, etc. He had a guest at Christmas who has nothing to do with football. It turns out that this person has known the Louis-Dreyfus family, through services they provided, for many years. They are still friends with the L-D mother and in regular contact. My friend didn't want to spoil the meal by going on about Sunderland and, in truth, it's his wife's friend more than his.

But he'll, no doubt, bring that into their correspondence and get as much info as possible. He doesn't post a lot, on either forum, but does read a lot.

I'm hoping he'll post what he hears but I doubt it tbh, he wouldn't want to get wrong off his lass. I was hoping to knock all this ITK shyte on the head but lots of people send me info, some unsolicited, so it looks like I'm stuck with it. I currently have a phone number sending me texts only with info that has been spot on, I've no idea who it is and he won't say. He sent me the team news, for the Lincoln game, to confirm his 'credentials' which was spot on. He's told me about the Embleton situation which I've posted to a couple of posters but can't post on here. Most of his messages have 'FYE only' at the bottom but some which I've posted on here. It was him who's sent me the new share ownership figures of which I can only say are reassuring and puts KLD in the driving seat with Sartori as a back seat passenger and the other two hitch hiking at the side of the road.

I'm only posting this to say I'm not actually connected to anyone 'at the coal face' but passing on the info I receive and definitely not attention seeking.

These are weird times and a lot of people are confined, bored and frustrated at the state of football and the club ...

... that's part of why I keep posting as, at least if it's all drivel, it's hopefully entertaining drivel and gives people a laugh.

God knows we all need one.

All I can add is that 4 clubs have enquired and it seems he'll go.

I can't post the rest as I don't want the lad to think I can't be trusted tbh.

Just seen on RTG there's been a long thread on it since the weekened - original poster thinks permanent to Barrow but Salford want him on loan.

Personally I'd be giving him another year contract and a loan. but its up to the club. I trust the new guys, but this is disappointing if he goes.

In a way I'm not, if we are to change our style of play there might have to be a fair amount of jiggling players about club wise, some of the players who are more popular with the supporters might still get the bullet to get the balance of the squad right for our new style of play.
