Red Devils v Hornets. Muñoz will take his players t'up north to face Ole's rampant Manchester United. Last season we got dumped out of the cup by Tranmere in a replay with big Nige in charge. The man himself will be at the game for BT sports too, wonder what advice he'd give Muñoz. Oh, the magic of the F.A. Cup. The previous season, despite Del Boy's magic in the semi-final, the final was a humiliation for us and started the downward spiral of Javi being kept on as he'd got us to it even though he was floundering in the last stretch of the season, to QSF coming back, the near Pearson re(sur)vival and the final nail in the relegation coffin under Mullins. I feel that this game may be a reach to far and a tough test for our new manager and players. Muñoz will take his new team to Old Trafford in his 14th game as gaffer, unreal. Talk about a tough start, Norwich, Swansea then Utd. I hope to see a strong line up and giving it a go, hopefully, Zinckernagel can get his debut too, but, Ole might have heard of him. We can't be humiliated by another Manchester team in the cup live on tele again, can we? Team news to follow: (if the club give us any info about anything) ¡Enjoy the game! ¡¡ COYH COYH COYH !!
A video of the May 1985 match at The Vic as a pre-match pep talk would be good. Good for me too as I've never seen one.
If anything, bench only I reckon. Would be rough on Wilmot or Sierralta to be dropped, but I suppose that's football.
We should name our strongest team and just go for it, if we lose we concentrate on the league, if we win the question would be would we prefer a day at Wembley in the Cup Final or the Play offs Answers on a post card
Maybe our last best striker, even though his goals dried up, will get a run out. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18990073.ighalo-mixed-feeling-playing-watford-fa-cup/
In the past I would have been very excited at the thought of playing Manchester United in the third round of the cup. Now I'm not that bothered. I wonder when that change occurred.
Was it when we went dow miserably and Pozzos are selling assets to probably keep us afloat, plus changing mangers like it is going out of fashion. Mixed with the slight feeling we are destined for worse things to come? That is my reason!
Yes - we’ve only just played them twice in less than a year It’s not even like you can go to the game . I was glad we got Tranmere last season - a new team to play who we hadn’t played for years .
Can't get interested in this one. Putting out reserve teams over the last twenty years has finally take its toll. And I suspect for many others of us judging by the number of posts here today. Especially when the larger clubs are beginning to take this competition a bit more seriously and I can't be bothered to watch us concede lots more goals.
It's on Talk Sport radio app if anyone fancies a listen. I am going to, not much else I can do here. There is no lockdown but we are trying to take care. My house has never been cleaner!
Depending on Corona we won't be getting a day at Wembley even if the team gets there. I'm afraid that the cup without fans has lost any of the remaining interest I had in this years competition.
