It's reported today that in part it was something to do with it. Apparently board not happy with how he approached Evans issues and had sympathy for him. Also, they weren't happy with Barton behaviour at times and has been running a tight rope for some time as the boards patience was wearing thin
Not disputing what you say as I really don't know, but I haven't seen anything in signings or infrastructure to their facilities to suggest this.
They're always alluding to it on the D3D4 podcasts. They have some players on good money there apparently.
Hes done a good job there but I alway got he feeling he was struggling to hide just how above Fleetwood he thought himself. I always thought that his mind games with us were massively disrespectful to his own club more so than us.
He was completely obsessed with us. Like some of the sad mags from up the road. (I said some is somb or qwop are reading this! You boys are always welcome) Good rissance to bad rubbish. Hope he never works in football again!!
I've got a feeling no club will touch him until this court case is over and done with and even then he'll have to be found innocent.
i read Chelsea are parting with Frank, i see Barton has left Fleetwood of his own accord i asked Wolfy if he thought there was a possible link ,i was asking not suggesting mate i did think it was suspicious, they took Frank on who had a lot less experience then Barton, which tells us they will take a pot on a manager with little experience
They took on a club legend with a little experience doing quite well in the championship. Not a sad sack of **** with a fake french accent with a couple of seasons meandering in league one. I never claim to be in the know but I can be 100% certain there is no link here between these two events. Barton will not be considered for the Chelsea job. I'd tell you to put money on it but I doubt there is a bookie willing to even create a market for it.
Eddie Howe promoting Bournemouth on a shoe string is one of the biggest myths in football mind. They made a 15mil loss getting out of league one and then got fined for breaching ffp in the Championship. Only reason they got to where they did was by being bankrolled by Maxim Demin.
Yes, this utter arrogance was always with him as a player, so it was obviously still there when he was a manager. When he was with us he said he was the best player at the club even though he constantly underachieved, at Rangers he said he was above Scottish football then lasted 2 games up there, at QPR he was always judging the other players despite the fact he was in no position to talk himself... etc. It's a shame, cos Fleetwood would have been a good job for him to get his head down, ignore his Twitter account, his big mouth and all the other bullshit, and establish himself as an up and coming manager if he'd wanted to. But no, that would never happen, its in his DNA to be an arrogant obnoxious prick, and he'll always be at heart a violent thug, no matter how much he tries to hide it.
Looks like he may be in the running for the Sheff Wednesday job according to this :- https://the72.co.uk/213319/barton-sacking-details-emerge-as-he-heads-sheffield-wednesday-list/
Hopefully Fleetwood have put Barton in a bag with a few rocks, tied the end up and tossed it in the river, which would benefit everyone.
No club will employ him while he's got an ongoing court case - he's got previous for assault, so if found guilty could well serve time. He'd also surely be banned by the FA for some time if found guilty in court. Add to that his record isn't incredible woth Fleetwood either. Some people (particularly some of our fans) seem to think he turned things around - they'd finished 4th then 14th in the two seasons before he was appointed. He took them to 11th then 6th (on points per game). Hardly transformative. And thats without the history of being an utter cockwombling twunt of a man (if you could even call him a man).
To be honest never seen a post saying he had "Turned things around"...I've seen plenty saying he did a decent job...a world of difference
I think there was a whole thread which has since been deleted, but anyway, I still think that his reputation for how well he has done is overblown based on what he's actually achieved there.
Newcastle supporters are seriously posting 'bring him home' apparently ... ... I would love that to happen, love it.
