This last lockdown needs to be very simple.

    No grey areas.
No promises of when it will be over.
    No fudging.

They also need to translate the rules for the massive Eastern European immigrant population in London, a very significant number don’t wear masks in my experience.

So it's Lockdown 2. A return to the 'spirit of March'.

    So be it.
I'd like to see another regular symbol of appreciation for all our NHS and key workers.
I think it would mean a lot to many people.

You can call it anything you want - the same sections of society, including the Pig Ignorant, will continue to ignore it. The only blessing now is that the rest of us will be safely tucked up at home.

Get into a routine that involves regular exercise, and embrace the journey.

I can't work from home, so it's the daily routine as usual.

The firm I work for is also involved in a key sector, so would have probably remained operating even if some non-essential factories were ordered to close. As it turns out the Government didn't go that far though.

It's good advice however, for everybody who does not need to travel or be on the street to stay indoors.
Keep washing hands, stay away from other people (rule-flouting idiots especially) and wear your mask where the rules say to do so.

Scottish MP arrested & charged over inter-city train journey she took after testing positive for COVID19

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-55537974

She behaved very stupidly and deserves to be punished.
Particularly as a person in her position should be setting a good example for other folk to follow.

But I confess I do feel a small amount of sympathy for Margaret Ferrier.
As well as being a high profile target for punitive action, she is a pretty soft target too.
We'd like to see all public transport rule-breakers arrested and punished properly. That includes the thoughtless, abusive and loutish ones who make other transport users' lives a dangerous misery every day.
We should have more Police, and soldiers if necessary, on patrol around our stations and on our trains and buses.
The public, and transport workers, deserve such protection.

She made a long train journey knowing that she had Covid. Unfit for public office.

There are multiple reports of the anti-muzzle brigade turning nasty, even violent, when asked to wear a face covering. They seem to view it almost as a moral crusade.

i wonder if they’d mask up on a tour of an ICU ward?

Anti - muzzle = refusing to wear a mask based on arrogance / ignorance / stupidity

They've been thrown out of at least two hospitals photographing empty corridors, trying to prove that it's all a hoax. ICU's were full, but they didn't get that far. They seem to be very self-righteous about it, and organised too. Spain will be compiling a register of those who refuse to get vaccinated, and I don't think that's a bad idea. It's a weird phenomenon, and some of the distinguished MP's and journalists who egged them on at the start of the pandemic should come ahrt and apologise.

A London ICU consultant was on Radio 4 this morning - she spoke deliberately slowly as if to ensure the congenitally thick will understand - “ Covid spreads through human contact, stay away from other people”.

It’s really not that difficult to understand.

Some otherwise intelligent people are down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. They would rather believe Auntie Doris's friend on Facebook than an ICU consultant or a top epidemiologist.
I know a consultant (whose wife occasionally reads this forum) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital whose Father is down the rabbit hole.

I’ve attended hospitals a couple of times lately- the corridors are empty because it’s so strictly controlled that even spouses are not allowed to accompany their wives/husbands - patients only

Kier Starmer has just suggested making anti - vaccine propaganda a criminal offence. Not a move I would support, although I can understand his reasoning.

Don't know exactly how it would work. David Icke isn't really a criminal, is he? If someone had predicted 25 years ago that he would have a large following they would have been laughed at.
