Bristol City are sniffing around Jephcott, talk of needing a few million to get him as well. Can't see us standing a chance of that's the case
Missing out on Liverpool Liam Millar, to Charlton... https://the72.co.uk/213263/sunderland-and-millwall-to-miss-out-on-signing-to-charlton-athletic/
But but didn't the chubby little chancer say we were good friends with Liverpool when they were helping themselves to the talent in our academy
Our problem will be getting rid of Graham and Grigg... probably highish wages etc the salary cap being something that could be a problem. However it will be a sign of improved management if they do get them out of the door...
You see that’s one of the beauties of the Saudis taking over a club work out the salaries for the remaining time at the club against the price of a hit man. Easy Peasy by by Grigg and Graeme
According to this, we're after Nisbet from Hibs, can't see it happening tbh. Leaving SPL for League 1.....? https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...nt-to-sign-hibernians-top-scorer-kevin-nisbet
Plenty players would leave the SPL for Sunderland but the wage cap will likely spoil any chance we have.
There must be some good young talent about in leagues one and two. Crewe and Rochdale for example have some players that are quite highly rated. That Rathbone at Rochdale always seems a good player to me.
He's proved he can drop into a new team and start scoring, I'm in. If he goes to Sheff Utd he'd be behind big money Brewster, McBurnie, the big lumpy lad but, if he goes there, we should take Sharp on loan if we can. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sp...rland-hibs-kevin-nisbet-lee-johnson-signings/
Sunderland and Barnsley are preparing bids to sign St Johnstone left-back Scott Tanser this month, Football Insider understands. https://www.footballinsider247.com/...ady-bids-for-26-yr-old-after-big-development/
I thought that Barnsley Fan that gets on here always says that they only buy young lads so they can make money on them. This one doesn't sound like it
I'd love to believe the link to Nisbet, but I just can't see it happening. He's newly signed in the summer and would take a hefty transfer fee. Possibly more realistic for if we won promotion.
I've no idea tbh mate. From what I've read about the new owner sounds like he's more into development of players than big transfer fees. It's a more sustainable model if we can get it right. A combination of both would be ideal.
Donald just had a 17mill payment by EFL plus he got money for our players playing for their Countries, then there is the young lads who were shipped out oh and his cut from the tv rights from matches around 12000 at 10 quid a pop less the offtakes
Carl Winchester, from Forest Green, will be announced today and could be included in the squad. He's fit apparently and played on the 29th Dec. (Just passing on a message I found in my 'in tray' this morning.)
He's a championship player apparently... https://the72.co.uk/213916/sunderla...ester-manager-says-hes-a-championship-player/ Hopefully an improvement on what we've got?
